Welcome to AZ Pediatrics, I am Dr. Simona Nichita
I am originally from Romania, from Bucharest.
I graduated from University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Carol Davila, from Bucharest in 1992, after completing 6 years of medical education. My trainings started in Romania with: 1 year internship in Pediatrics, followed by my first residency training- in Pediatrics, and then by the second residency training- in Gastroenterology.
I emigrated in 2002 in USA.
I completed residency training in Pediatrics at University and Health Science Center from El Paso, TX, graduating in 2008.
I became an American Board Certified Pediatrician in 2008 and I am a fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics since then.
I worked initially in Private Practice as General Pediatrician, then as full time hospitalist, as well as part time in urgent care practice.
Our practice’s motto is “Excellent care for our patients. We got it covered from A to Z”.
We are seeking and love the service of quality and not quantity.
Our office has only physician, Dr. Simona Nichita. I am connected 24/7 with my patients, and answer to their calls after hours. Our patients are seen on the same day appointments, and since they are seen only by me, any time, it is continuity in the medical care, that many of our patients are happy about.
At AZ Pediatrics, we do practice medicine based on American Academy of Pediatrics’s standards and regulations. That’s way, I encourage all my patients to visit www.aap.org and www. cdc.gov. I do believe that immunizations are very important, but also I do have the flexibility to work with each individual case and make things possible to happen.
