Dr. Sonia Gidwani trained in General Pediatrics at the Children´s Hospital of New Jersey / University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After completing one year of Pediatric Endocrinology fellowship at the New York Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center, she has been in practice in Manhattan at the St. Luke´s Roosevelt Hospital Center since 1994.
Her expertise is in metabolic and endocrine diseases of children, especially diabetes and obesity. She has published work in the field of pediatric endocrinology and is currently involved in three NIH funded studies in that area. In 1998, she was recognized by New York Magazine, where she was named one of the Top Doctors in New York.

We saw the doctor on time. Dr. Gidwani has always provided timely & professional care for our son, helped him through his allergies & milestones. She has an excellent bedside manner & is very thorough in her check-ups. we highly recommend her to all patients.

Our kids MD is a great, professional and clear facility for newborns and kids. Scheduling appointments is very easy with online and phone access. Dr. Gidwani is very supportive through email and is acceptable. The Saturday schedule allows for more flexibility in scheduling. Our newborn and we love their practice and the Doctor as she is extremely comforting and answers all our questions with patience!
