Dr. Sowmya Reddy is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She completed her OBGYN residency at St John’s Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and also a member of Georgia Medical Association. She served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Reddy is very interested in having a balanced obstetrical and gynecological practice. Her special interests are laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery, prenatal care, and management of high risk pregnancies. She practices evidence-based medicine, and highly encourages her patients to keep up with their well-woman care, and routine exams. Dr. Reddy’s personal experience with two high risk pregnancies continue to enhance her ability to relate to and care for her Obstetrics patients, who always hold a special joy for her, while still enjoying the challenges of a broad practice in Gynecology. Being a woman helps her understand the needs of her patients at each stage of their lives. As a passionate OBGYN she finds it rewarding to get to know and educate her patients about their body as they go through different life changes; Right from their first menstrual cycle to child birth to menopause. Together, you go through obstacles that your bodies may put you through, and also be part of the celebrations of happy moments of giving birth to a child. She has given many presentations on various topics related to women’s health and is an active participant in many charitable events to discuss and educate women of all ages with the latest in health care.

I really liked Dr. Reddy BUT the wait was much too long. It was my first time and I arrived 30 minutes before my appt. There was absolutely no one at the front window until my appt. time. I could not find anyone. Then when I finally talked to someone and gave them my insurance card and ID, it took another 25 minutes before they put me in a room. Then I got weighed and did my urine and was put in a room and waited at least another 20-25 minutes before the doctor came in. I liked her a lot but it took over an hour for me to see her. My time is just as valuable as hers. that was very disappointing.
