I LOVED everything about this office from the front staff to the blood work, to the check out and especially Dr. Cox! Awesome first experience and I can't wait to see her throughout my visits and needs! She is so personable and lovely and funny and easy to talk to. I immediately liked her. I am confident she is the doctor for us! I was seen right away, and given thorough instructions from beginning to end! Everyone makes you feel very welcome and as if they really care about you!

Dr. Stephanie Cox-Batson joined the practice after leading the women’s health department of a large medical organization in Chicago. She has been on staff at Northwestern Hospital for more than 10 years. She believes women inherently have the tools needed to lead healthy and fulfilling lives, and her goal is to assist women in realizing their health potential. She remarks that, “Excellent outcomes are achieved by keeping technology and science in balance with women’s spirit and natural strength.” Dr. Cox’s approach to patient care is honest and direct. She values building trusting relationships, and thinks a little levity goes a long way.
Dr. Cox-Batson received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, where she ran track and graduated with honors. She obtained her medical degree and a master’s degree in Neurophysiology from Washington University in St. Louis. While there she was one a few students in the country named a National Health Service Corp Scholar and was elected class president. She returned to Chicago in 1994 for her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern’s Prentice Women’s Hospital. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Cox-Batson is a member of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, where she served on the Humanitarian Committee.
Dr. Cox practices the full scope of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her special interests include the management of fibroids, endometriosis, abnormal pap smears and HPV, pregnant athletes, adolescents, sexual dysfunction and menopause. She is skilled in minimally invasive surgery, hysterectomy alternatives, and hormonal therapies.
