I had a painful ingrown toenail that started getting really inflamed and infected a few days prior to the visit while I had to work several 15 hour days on my feet all day. My normal podiatrist near me I have gone to before and many others in the area had 3 week or more waits. Googled "same day podiatrist ingrown toenail" while on break at work and discovered Zocdoc and Dr. Skokan with online booking and open availability for appointments 3 hours later thay day. Got off work in Newark, went home to Ocean County to be somewhat civilized and wash my foot quick, and then went to his Manahawkin office. Got there early for my 2:30 appointment at 1:45. Office girls were nice, filled out 2 quick new patient forms, the doc saw me and fixed my ingrown toenail and had me out before 2:15. Doc was great, nice guy, made a little small talk, talked about my ingrown toenail, how he was going to fix it, how they form, what was happening, and how to help prevent them as well as the aftercare. Great doc
