Dr. Luther attended Indiana University, where he obtained his medical degree. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Prior to moving to Hilton Head Island in 2007, he practiced internal medicine at Kendrick Memorial Hospital/St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville, IN.
