Verified Patient Reviews
Dr. Tyring came in, did not wash his hands, and introduced himself. The first thing he did was look at the issue, and started ordering injections to be given without explaining what it was. Luckily, I’m a nurse, so I knew what it was, but it’s nice to keep your patients in the loop about their own care. He didn’t wash his hands before he left the room, either. When I asked him a question, he almost belittled me. I would not recommend him.
LOOKED LIKE MY SKIN WAS IN GOOD HEALTH. i HAD MY SKIN CANCER SCREEN AND WAS OUT THE DOOR IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES.
Professional and friendly nurse and doctor.
Loved it ????
Perfect very professional no messing right down to business.
Thank you Dr. Tyring and thank s to your wonderful staff. Happy Thanksgiving
what to tell him and he took care it
As usual great visit. Was very thorough and explained everything he found and was doing on some possible skin concerns.
The staff was wonderful! Very caring! Will definitely go back!
Minimal wait time and I was able to get in same day! Nice Facility.
Great bedside manner & good listener. I would recommend him to my family and friends.
Very fast and efficient.
I saw one of the PAs. She was friendly and helpful. She listened to my concerns.
He is very nice and professional
Knowledgeable and courteous.
Very brief encounter: I spent more time with the nurse beforehand...after waiting more than 30min to see him. Hopefully follow-up will be more thorough...
The doctor was very knowledgeable.
Love this doctor!
Dr. Tyring is so knowledgeable and helpful. He really is a Godsend. So happy he continues his successful practice after 30+ years.s
I felt overcharged and he rushed in and out so fast that I forgot to answer a question. Don't waste your money on this place
Got in and got out, had my annual check-up. No problems.
Great and fast
Would use him again.
I think he is a very straightforward doctor rhetoric really respected the fact that I didn't want anything invasive for my skin problem so he prescribed me a topical cream. The only thing I didn't like was that he didn't even touch my skin or examine it, maybe because of his extensive experience. But one thing I can say that the nurse was wonderful and very proffessional.
The Dr. was nice, however I got a bill from my insurance that showed how much the doctor charged my insurance. He charged my insurance a lot under "surgery" when he didn't even perform a surgery. I no longer trust going.
I had not been in for 5 years so the paperwork had to be re-established and that took some time. The Dr. was able to see me pretty muchly as scheduled and was through with the exam and treatment quickly.
Dr Tyring is an extremely talented dermatologist.
I had a great experience. Everyone was friendly and the organization was very efficient. Additionally, the doctor was nice as well as direct. For something that should have taken 10 minutes or less, they nailed it. Everything took about 8 mins. I would never hope for a skin issue, but if I get one at least I know a great place to go.
Dr. Tyring fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. He left most of the explanations to his nurse, who was extremely personable. I'd definitely rate her care a 5++ stars! I would highly recommend because of her. Lots of people in the office and (apparently) lots of patients. There was an air of competence and positiveness that I trusted.
Easy free parking is a huge plus, location is close to Medical Center. Receptionists are prompt and are very professional. I recommend it highly, there are many professionals there.
Dr. Tyring is the best. He's extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable. He attended to my problem immediately and I was out of there in 10 minutes.
Very knowledgeable and able to convey the diagnosis and medical treatment with clarity. Careful not to cause any alarm. Compared to other doctors I have seen, his consultation time doesn't seem like a "hurry up and get this over so I can go on to the next ...." Recommended
Had Dr. Kim. Professional, informative, efficient.
He was very professional and really put me at ease. I will recommend him to others.
Didn't take the time to discuss anything with us. He reviewed the file came in and said he woukd prescribe such and such and that was it. We had more interaction with the nurse and she answered more questions than he did.
Dr. Tyring was very personable and caring. When he heard I would be leaving the country the next day, he made sure I would have enough medication in time. I would definitely recommend him!
Doctor has no time for patient. Didn't want to listen. Seemed in a rush.
It was a very pleasant experience. In and out in no time
Great visit! Fast and courteous, but I did not feel rushed at all! Even gave me some free samples of medicine I needed.
Very professional and so prompt! I highly recommend Dr. Tyring and his staff.
It was my best doctor's office visit. Dr. Tyring was very knowledgeable with identifying my problem and providing a solution. I was in and out, just how I hoped it would be!
Dr. Tyring was very caring and made an awkward situation at ease. He was great!
He was very quick and to the point, if you want a doctor who takes their time with you then I recommend you find someone else.
I had great expectation on Dr. Stephen based on his experience and degrees in this field. But I was very disappointed with the results.
Efficient. Direct and to the point.
Fine. But Dr Patel performed the cyst removal.
The whole office is run very efficiently from beginning to end. Staff is very nice and helpful too. Dr. Tyring was professional and informative about the procedure.
Rushed the conversation, didn't take time to read medication history properly, didn't take any time of assessment of the affected area.
I was very disappointed to find out that this clinic charged me way too much for the visit + another unexpected fee to administer 5 poofs of freeze for wart removal + another cost for a topical available only from a nearby compound pharmacy I am sure they've got financial interest in. So all told I am a significnt amount of cash, and yes I have Insurance wBCBS - absolutely ridiculous - Caveat Emptor FWIW I was barely at the location 30 mins all told which was fine but the pricing/costs were exorbitant for what was done. It is tantamount to an AC repair place charging you a "Trip Charge" THEN whatever work they opt to do on your repair -
Very impressed with the organization and efficiency of the office, from check in to physician visit. In and out in 35 minutes as a new patient. Wow!
I was elated that Dr Tyring listened to my concerns. I know he already knew what he would prescribe and the treatment plan he would use, but he allowed me to voice my frustrations with previous doctors that dismissed my knowledge of my health problem.
Front desk was fine. Call back was fast. Dr. Tyring was friendly and personable. Explanation of treatment was good both verbally and with written materials provided.
Dr. Tyring is extremely professional and current in his field. He was able to treat an ongoing dermatology issue in just a few visits. I would highly recommend him and his associates!
nurses have very bad attitude....
Dr. T. was very kind, patient, and attentive. He answered all of my questions and explained everything so I understood my diagnosis'. I would absolutely recommend him to everyone I know. I got an appointment right away with no problem.
Showed up well before the time of appointment to fill out papers and still waited over an hour to be seen. The doctor did not seem at all interested in my condition, let alone did not even tell me what I was diagnosed with. He just prescribed me medications.
No time wasted. Check in was fast and friendly. Dr and his nurse were quick, straight to the point and efficient. Highly recommend.
Great, professional, clean office. Kind staff and well informed
Other than waiting for 20 minutes past appointment time, it was very good.
Dr Tyring is a Dean of Dermatology in Houston and has old school professional bedside manner. He is efficient and punctual.
Definitely recommend Dr.Stephen Tyring. Very knowledgeable. He took his time answering all the questions I had. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. No wait time either. Great experience!
Dr. Tyring was a little brusk, but I understand the necessity to keep visits short so more patients can be seen in a day. Dr. Tyring quickly grasped my issues and identified an alternative treatment that I had not yet tried.
Not a lot of explanation on condition and just provided samples to help cure.
Very professional was in and out..eill definitely go back
Dr. Tyring is such a nice guy. Super smart, super courteous and to the point. His staff is friendly and efficient and I highly recommend him to patients of all ages.
I'm very happy with how quickly they attended me. Great visit They even provided samples of medication to get me on my way to recovery on the spot. I've never had that before
It went through about 10mins. Gave a good explanation about the infection. Do's and don't were given.
Front desk ladies were very kind and friendly. Doctor Tyring literally spent 1 minute to check up and didn't really look at the skin or give any idea about what to avoid or what to do or refer any scrub or anything. He handed me off to his laser treatment team who then again didn't really check to see if the procedure was even right for me they just talked about the pricing. It was a complete waste of money. No wonder why they charge you beforehand because they know no one in their right mind would pay to get looked at and get nothing out of it.
Knowledgeable and so informative
He is strictly all business. He does explain his plan for your treatment but doesn't stick around if you don't have any questions. I feel he knows his job just not around to hear patients complaints or problems. Would continue to see him.
Excellent visit, nice receptionist, nurse who assisted the procedure, especially Dr.Tyring.
I understand an unusual patient situation caused the delay getting in. Once I was in, Dr. Tyring was prompt, courteous and interactive. He and his staff are simply excellent.
Dr barely looked at my daughter. Didn't look at medical history.
He didn't take the time to examine my skin and basically trusted my self-diagnosis that my rash was in fact psoriasis. He didn't really even look at it and simply wrote up a prescription. I didn't leave his office too confident. I'm not a medical professional, so not sure why he would take my opinion seriously. Very troubling.
Perfect visit in and out
Very thorough . Pleasant manner.
Made the spot thru Zocdoc and arrived for appt . The office scheduled it with a different doctor at a location an hour away. Their mistake but they did offer to see me . But they made me wait ! It's their mistake why did I have to pay consequences ? Dr Tyring is an expert in his field. And we have seem him for years using Zocdoc at another location. Disappointed with office this time. He was excellent y
It went smoothly. He was very pleasant and professional. Treated me and explained what to expect and how to take care of it. I was on my way out in no time.
It was short, sweet and on time!!!
Quick, professional, and friendly! I was in and out and the doctor had a quick diagnosis for my issue. Highly recommended!
He was good at what he did but didn't put much effort into making sure he was thorough.
It was great!!!
Dr. Stephen is very educated and cordial. The whole problem was that the consultation took no more than 2 minutes. His assistant asked me a couple of questions before he arrived and he basically just prescribed me something right away, without engaging to a proper conversation, etc.. I felt the whole experience a little bit "cold"... He spent more time advertising for the spa services than asking me questions about my skin conditions, history, etc.. Unfortunately I will try to find another doctor that gives me more of his attention and support.
Dr. Tyring was friendly but seemed a bit rushed. Might have had a lot going on that day. I was pleased with the treatment he provided.
He was short sweet and to the point! Nice man who didn't waste my time. I would recommend him to anyone!
Everyone was nice and professional.
He knows his stuff, is very to the point. This was my second visit. I recommend him and his staff. Everyone is super friendly.
Was excellent how I expectedpñ3
Wait time could have been shorter but appointment was pleasant and brief
Awesome, felt very comfortable talking to him.
Even though the Doctor was busy, he was very helpful. The staff were also very nice. I would definitely return again.
Excellent, love the old school methods
It was a good experience
A good experience
I have no complaints about Dr. Tyring personally, but the assistants, nurses, other staff, etc aren't great at all. This office as a whole has terrible communication. On this particular visit, it seemed to have gone smoothly, but after I left, an assistant called me and told me I have high cholesterol. So I started freaking out trying to eat better and exercise. Told me coworkers and my family and then it turns out that I don't even have high cholesterol? Like what kind of doctor gives out information like that without actually knowing?
He is good, but my face time with him was very quick.....I felt like he knew my issue and did not need to spend the time explaining a little bit better; he was rushing without a doubt. I felt like I have to ask him my questions really quick, otherwise he is gone.
Dr. Tyring was merely mediocre. He diagnosed my condition quickly, which I appreciated, but when there were side effects with my medication, he just threw up his hands and didn't have any other ideas or solutions. My first visit with him was fine, but after he couldn't think of a plan B, he seemed to be trying to rush out of the room without answering any questions or making me feel confident in his ability. His staff was also lacking, as she brushed off concerns about side effects.
I recied no medical info regarding my problem The doctor seemed puzzld by my condition. He gave me a sample to mdicate. I still ave no idea about my problem I will now seak a second opinion
I was with Dr. Mays and she was great.
Dr was in the room with me for under 2 minutes. He didn't introduce himself nor the 7 med students that followed him in the room. I was never asked permission to have so many people in the room. He was very rude and didn't do a thorough exam. Very disappointed!
He is the best! He has been my skin doc since 1998 (18 yrs) wouldn't trust any other!
He was professional and polite, but incredibly rushed. There is no way that he could have really absorbed / been thoughtful about my pseudo-lengthy list of symptoms and issues with the kind of speed through which he zipped in and out. Also, it was abruptly awkward because he brought in a dermatology fellow without asking if that was ok with me (I was in my skivvies and hospital gown to get a body mapping, so being a spectacle for more people than I anticipated was slightly unnerving). The highlights of the appointment were: - The samples he gave so that I could try the medications before committing to buying them. Though most of them require about a month to start seeing results, and the sample amounts maybe will last a couple days - one week. - The whole appointment did not take long at all, from the filling out new patient paperwork to getting into the room to waiting for the doctor. - The office was clean and calming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The most significant things that bothered me about the appointment: - The doctor was more eager to push medications instead of discussing potential causes (like allergic reactions to something in my diet or environment). I really hate the "medicate the symptom instead of addressing the root of the illness", because that is an incomplete diagnosis AND leaves too much room for recurrence. - The doctor and his fellow forgot entirely about two discussed regimens and prescriptions, once he flew on out of there (so, no samples). Again, proof that he was not actually paying complete attention to my issues and questions. - When I pointed out a mole on my face that has been giving me some problems, instead of asking the kind of problems/symptoms, he just said "I would be happy to schedule a removal, if that is what you want"... Wait...What?! You want to cut something off my face because scheduling/performing minor surgery would be easier for YOU than ASKING ME ABOUT THE SYMPTOMS (or even let me know that said symptoms are common or not)? If the mole looks suspicious (or my symptoms raise a red flag of a problem), tell me that OR tell me there is nothing wrong with what I have experienced; please don't just say "we can remove it if you want". - The medication samples did not come with any instructions (printed, written, or otherwise), so it's confusing as to which thing I am supposed to take at what time of day, with how much water or food, when I am supposed to use the ointment, etc.
There are several "in network" doctors closer to my home but I chose to drive for an hour or so to visit Dr. Tyring. I have complete confidence in him, I am happy with the treatments I have received, and his office staff are friendly and helpful.
Very nice, efficient
Dr. Trying new exactly what my 8 yr. Old son had on his face. We were in and out within 30 min. He was very nice, great bed side manners. Receptionist were so so.
Met all expectations.
I feel rushed by Dr. Stephen and he didn't spend more than 3-4 minutes with me. It was all about business with him. I didn't feel like he even cared about my issues. Will not recommend or come back.
Excellent - professional, pleasant and efficient
Desk staff very courteous and helpful. Seen almost immediately. Very little wait time in exam room.
Only waited a few minutes and got a prescription for the problem after a quick exam by Dr. Tyring
He is a very professional, well educated doctor. I seemed a lil rushed but he was very concerned and helpful.
Very friendly, knowledgeable and quick. Came right into the exam room (no 20-30 min wait that I have had in most other offices. Love their efficiency.
It was so fast and friendly.
I'm so impressed by how efficient Dr. Tyring and his office are. This was the easiest doctor visit I've ever had: made the appointment online for the same day, office was simple to find, spent less than 30 minutes total in and out. Dr. Tyring is an expert and made me feel comfortable and well taken care of.
I was issued in promptly after completing the paperwork (new patient) and saw the doctor within just a few minutes. He was nice, professional and gave me the information I needed for a possible improved medication for psoriasis.
Very professional and informative.
The Dr. explained everything very well and was very proficient and timely in his care.
He moved along briskly, but listened well and discussed my concerns thoroughly. Everyone was very polite and attentive. Nice office. Easy to find. It was an overall good experience.
Very thorough and made me feel at ease. He also gave me literature to read about my condition.
He attended to my condition right away. His expertise was very evident.
Dr, Tyring's practice is kind of a mass production/fast turnaround setup, you're lucky if you get 5 minutes of actual consultation with the doctor. If you go in prepared with your issues and questions, and don't have too many things needing to be addressed, you will likely be satisfied with your visit. The good news is you can get an appointment within one day of calling and the doctor knows what he is doing. His assistants are friendly but appear to be somewhat inexperienced.
Quick and to the point service. In and out fast.
Very nice office and great dermatologist. Was making visual diagnosis while he made small talk. I would definitely recommend.
He knows what he's doing & doesn't waste time- I like that a lot!
Didn't care to listen to my concerns or past attempts at curing my nail issues. Did NOT shake my hand. Spent less than 3 total minutes with me then prescribed a cream I could have purchased at Walmart.
Spent almost no time with me, easily under five minutes. Did not explain any of the medications prescribed, nor did he ask any questions about symptoms before prescribing. Also irritated at blatant attempts to cross-sell products at the afilliated spa.
I thought Dr. Tyring was a little rushed. I know he has a lot of patients to see, but I really would have appreciated a little more time with him and for it not to feel like he was already one foot out the door the entire time – especially as a new patient.
Stay Away PLZ!!!!!!! Don't waste your time and money.
Nice and new exactly what my problem was.
He had excellent beside mannors.
Stephen was very to the point and very busy, it seemed. He didn't engage with me on more than just a professional level. I imagine he's been doing this for long enough, the special caring touch has faded just a little. No complaints from me for the appointment, but would have been nice to have a little more caring touch.
Great physician. I still receive treatment from him and my condition has greatly improved.
Very professional and efficient. Nice person too.
He is extremely pleasant and gentle, he has helped my condition a great deal.
Very professional. He was able to get me in and out very quickly.
The doctor was pleasant and professional. He seemed to know exactly what the problem was.
The wait time was pretty long and the time with the doctor pretty short. He was quite pleasant as was the staff. I will be going back.
I like it , it is fast and good ! I would recommend him to my friend .
Very friendly and knowlegable. Fast, to the point. I liked that a lot ! Felt I was a great care. Highly recommended. Will return.
The doctor was very nice but the visit seemed a bit rushed. I don't feel lIke I had enough time to ask all the questions I had.
Short, sweet, to the point, just how I like it! Exactly what I was looking for. Could not be more satisfied with the outcome. Would definitely fly back here for a follow up rather than bother to have treatment in the UK!
Seemed to get right to the problem and the office ran very well.
Dr. Tyring was very attentive to all of my issues. Dr. Tyring was very prompt with his diagnosis and treatment.
Worst experience ever. Probably not even 1 minute was spent with me. He didn't talk or explain, jumped into a conclusion and left. His arrogance is the only thing I recall from the whole visit and then his colleague trying to explain his attitude. They promised that they would call to check whether he was right. Of course nobody ever called. And he was sooo not right
The doctor got right to the point and resolved my medical problem without hesitation. I will return to see Dr. Stephen Tyring for any future medical problems.
didn't spend any time with me. in and out. I had a lot of questions
This guy is short and sweet. No nonsense and no BS. I like him.
My appointment was great. They got me in and out quickly and corrected the problem I had. Very Professional, I would definitely recommend Dr Stephen to my friends and family.
Very to the point, easy appointment, little wait time. Doctor was thorough. Front desk staff was a little unprofessional and on their personal phones when they were helping you.
He was knowledgeable and very helpful in finding the right treatment plan for me.
Very professional. He diagnosed my problem, whereas, 2 other dermatologist misdiagnosed my condition
Very rushed and less than 5 minutes. Dr. Tyring showed no interest in getting to know me as a patient. Did not explain anything.
Was a patient before, knew he was good.
i have been seeing him for several years and he has always been on time for the appointment and courteous and most professional. he is a very good doctor.
It was nice to know that the doctor still remembered me and that he knew what to do and how to take care of my problem I'll probably be seeing him the next time I have the same situation
I came in for something that could have been embarrassing, but Dr. Tyring was just super professional. He was open to my questions and efficient and practical. I'm appreciative.
The doctor was personable and put me at ease. He suggested treatment that was reasonable and price appropriate for me.
He was certainly efficient, but I would't return. He could not have been less interested in my situation.
Just felt i was't examined adequately. He stayed less than a minute to see me.
I believe he is a good doc. I personally had a not so great experience. He had a visiting doctor from another country stand in, as well as a data entry personnel. At this point there was no room for bedside manner. It was more of a lesson for the other doctor and no doctor patient focus. I actually was so distracted an rushed that I forgot to bring up two of the issues I showed up for. Thats probably because the visiting doctor was extremely gorgeous.
My experience was okay. Dr. Tyring seems very kind and listened to my concerns, but the treatment plan offered was pretty much the path of least resistance. I most appreciate when doctors not only diagnose a condition, but also offer a variety of ways to combat it (including diet, exercise, lifestyle habits, etc.) In this case, there were no questions asked about my lifestyle habits, no curiosity in discovering why I was having this skin problem, and the treatment offered was really just a medication prescription. The whole visit lasted less than 5 minutes. I can't complain too much though, because the medication prescribed does seem to be having some success. I'd prefer a more in-depth visit next time, but all in all it was a positive experience.
Overall was fine. I felt that the Dr was knowledgeable. The negatives were that are not able to get my info from ZocDoc and I had to fill it out by hand and I felt rushed during the actual appointment
I appreciate his help and advice! He is always very on time and very professional !
Super quick and no time for questions.
He's not thorough IMO. Maybe he's real good, that he identifies things right away, but still, spending more time is comforting.
Great doctor. Very thorough. Immaculate and very efficient office. Seen immediately for all appointments.
Dr Tyring is sincere and has a nice sense of humor. He was a little rushed though, seemed eager to move on. The staff can use customer service training. The office manager (Kathleen) is unprofessional and defensive. I asked some questions on the phone about their policy with a medication and she couldn't speak to it so I decided I would ask Dr. Tyring at my appointment. At my appointment which happened to be the next day I mentioned the same question about the medication and that I didn't understand it to the medical assistant/nurse. She then left to get the MD but next Kathleen walks in the room and stated I thought we cleared this up yesterday and hit me with barrage of questions like didn't read up on your medication, etc. She was not helpful at all and I didn't ask her to come in, I was waiting to ask the MD.
My visit today 6/26/2015 was so not like when I went in 2013. Very rushed by nurse assistant and doctor. I felt instead of trying to sell me a product that I told her I didn't want she should've gotten to know my acne better.
Very brusque. Waited too long. Little interaction with Dr. Tyring. He seemed annoyed at my questions regarding treatments.
I really like Dr Tyring and the staff. They are very professional and friendly
a little rushed but efficient
I had to fill out all the paperwork before I seen the doctor which I thought zoc doc sent to them in advance but they said you didn't and they needed it on there forms anyway. I seem to have that problem with every doctor I book with zoc doc. Everything else was great.
Excellent staff and beautiful offices.
One of the worst doctor visits I have had. I waited 45 minutes to be seen. The doctor visit was 4 minutes tops. Dr. Tyring is rude and arrogant.
I felt so rushed I had so many questions, but only got to ask 2, Dr. Turing was in the room for only 3 minutes if that. I went in for acne and he prescribed me some medicine. Let's see how I do with it. When I asked about skin and makeup products he saiD I should see the spa next door.
Very efficient and organized. Doctor seemed a little rushed, but otherwise great visit.
This was our first visit and my daughter and I were pleased with Dr. Tyring. He was thorough and attentive to my daughter's concerns. She had nothing but good things to say about the service she received.
Dr. Tyring is very professional and did a fabulous job!
Doctor seemed rushed and did not spend more than 2 minutes in the room. Paid a high copay for a visit that lasted less than 10 minutes.
Very friendly, as well as staff! Very nice building. Had a great room view. Dr. address all my needs and concerns and some. Would have liked a hand shake being a new client though.
Great dermatologist! We use him him for our children as well and love the office.
I have seen Dr. Trying several times. He and his staff are courteous, professional, and prompt.
Staff was friendly. Wasn't a long wait. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. Dr. Tyring answered all of my questions and I left with eevrything I needed to know.
Very professional and was seen right on time.
awesome visit and staff, in and out quickly
Excellent Physician. Knew exactly what I was there for and came in prepared.
It couldnt have been any better. Thank you every one in that office is wonderful and very nice ppl
Dr Tyring has been the only Dr able to effectively treat a wart that has ben affecting me for the past 4 yrs. I've seen at least 8 different doctors for this issue. He has also successfuly treated my 4 yr old for scabies. Highly recommended!
The staff was very friendly and helpful during my visit. Although, I liked that appointments and prescriptions can be handled via texts and emails, I had a little hard time when calling, too many choices, and no humans responding:(. Nonetheless, I loved that Dr Tyring took time to answer all my questions. He gave me simple answers, not using medical confusing language :). LB
We were very satisfied.
He spent 5 minutes and in a rush. Had the feeling he wanted to spent as little time as possible.
He seemed very uninterested when I went in for a general skin check up/skin cancer check. Every mole I said I was concerned about he just glanced over and seemed annoyed that i had even come in. I thought Dermatologists encourage you to get checked once a year but it just seemed like he would prefer to be elsewhere.
The visit was pleasant. Front desk staff, nurse and Dr. Tyring were very cordial and helpful.
Very professional and knowlegeable. Very respectful.
He was great with my 9 year old daughter. Very friendly and quick. Great experience!
straight forward approach.
Once doctor saw me it was very professional and he was very helpful. Thanks
My appointment felt rushed. The office seemed more focused on selling additional products for cosmetic purposes than treating standard skin issues.
The doctor was so fast (5 min) I don't believe he actually to a look and evaluated my issue. I was prescribed medicine that did not work nor seem to pertain to my issue. I will not be returning. On a good note everyone was polite and professional.
He seems to be always on rush because he doesn't want to give more than 5-10 mins to each patient. Looks like just trying to finish his job ( like a drag) and go home. I have been going there for months now and he did treat some of my issues but other than that he is more than eager to sell his services or from ADARA medical spa next door.
I am very disappointed, I did not feel like the Dr. took time to explain to me about my problem. I felt that he was very time restrained, rushed and I waited more than hour to see him. The Dr. gave me five minutes of his time, he was also training interns. I thought I would have had a better experience with this dermatologist, because he came highly recommended from a friend. This is my second dermatologist and both have disappointed me. If you are going to make patients wait so long you should have a better sitting area. The chairs where very uncomfortable... Sincerely, MC
Fast, efficient appointment - removed a mole painlessly and made sure he gave me ointment samples before I left.
Dr. Tyring is always professional, pleasant, clear, and to the point. He has a wry sense of humor that I appreciate, and that alleviates some of the tension that is inevitable with any doctor visit. His clinic is beautiful and pristine and the rest of his staff is very friendly.
Very nice staff and doctor was prompt. Would return for other skin problems if needed.
Waste of both our time. He was dismissive and i was disappointed. The rest of the staff seemed fine. The office was clean
Dr. Tyring is a highly credentialed dermatologist with a very busy practice. He was prompt on the appointment time and even spent an extra few minutes with me since I was a new patient but with a fairly minor problem.
Precise, efficient exam & treatment.
Friendly staff, very attentive. Doctor was such a pleasant experience. I do not ordinarily get stressed over doctors appointments, but the previous Dermatologist experience was not positive for me. SO I was apprehensive about my appointment with a new doctor. This was such pleasant surprise, it was not as painful as my previous experiences elsewhere. So I will be coming here on going!
Very thorough, professional, friendly, knowledgeable. spent as much time w/me as was needed. answered my questions.
Problems addressed quickly and completely. Thumbs up.
Dr. Tyring seemed very nice, would of been nice if he spent a little more time with me for my consultation. Hoping that his treatment plan for me works. Other than that, great office and staff.
Very professional and quick service.
Warm welcoming feeling. Professional... Prescription worked like right away
1. They put insurance claim under different doctor name, which I never have talked/seen before 2. They put insurance claim for different amount then what i paid out of pocket deductible 3. They gave different reasons about delaying patient treatment 4. They delegate ordinary nurse for patient treatment, so doctor can make more money with another patient in the same time 5. They don't charge correct amount as per insurance benefits
I'm not happy at all!! He's spent less than 10 minutes with us, very quick visit and he didn't explain the situation clearly.
The doctor spent less than 30 seconds with me. He was in such a hurry to get to the next patient. Terrible experience. Would not refer anyone to this practice.
I had a reaction to blood pressure medicine, which created a severe rash and itching. After about 10 days of this, I had to find a dermatologist, now to get relief. I went to ZocDoc, found one that was close to my work and saw that he had an opening that day same day. So, I made the apt and his staff responded right away. I got in to see the doctor and had a wonderful experience.
Dr. Tyring was on vacation when I was scheduled to go but the sub physician was awesome, my skin is back silky smooth! :)
Fast and easy thanks.
Great doctor. Aopreciated his promptness!
I was just happy to get in to a Doctor the day I needed to see one. He was in and out of the room quickly and quite matter of fact.
He is very experienced and so far the treatments have been succesful for my 3 yr old on scabies and for me on a stuborn wart on my thumb.
Loved the professionalism in their office. Everyone in the office is ready to help and assist me with anything I might need or have questions about. Their flexibility is most appreciated! Such a relief after dealing with the horrible service at Clear Lake Dermatology
He is right on when it comes to skin problems
The doctor was not very attentive to detail. Quick, short responses and conclusions as to finish up quickly with my visit. Not very caring of my needs and concerns. Not easy to communicate. I didn't feel comfortable at all. I left with many questions unanswered and doubtful about my treatment and further instructions. Not a very pleasant experience at all and will not follow up with him again. The front desk receptionist and assistant to the doctor were much more nice, polite and attentive.
He is definitely one of the best in Houston, I enjoy his courtesy and helpfulness. He's a very intelligent man with a pleasant personalty.
The wait time was ridiculously long.
Wait time was around 45mn, for a 10mn visit. I don't think he took his time for any of my concerns. My allergic reaction was bad and he just gave me a sample (new product on the market) took me 6 days to get the real medicine by this time my allergic reaction was gone. Wasted of time and money.
I like this doctor. He was quick to diagnose and treat me. He knows his stuff and explained my problem in a manner that was easy to understand.
Very careless with the application of treatment.
Good bedside manor, he listens and takes his time with you.
Walked in to the room, talked to the assistant about my concerns. The Dr came in a couple minutes after and didn't even direct himself towards me. He just looked at my problem area for less than a minute, then he turned to the assistant and gave her the name of the condition he thought it would be. That was it. He didn't talk to me, he didn't make me feel comfortable, he didn't give me any type of info on the condition. I paid for a doctors consultation not to talk to an assistant. So basically I received the name of the condition that he thought I MAYBE had and that was it, I was left to look up and research all the info myself! The assistant just wrote the name of the condition down on a scratch sheet of paper, printed out my prescription and then I was on my way. I was left with wayyy more questions and concerns than when I had just entered. Very very disappointed.
Very professional, but maybe a little too quick.
I went to see this doctor and he spend the total time of 1 minute with me. He asked only what I needed and I said that my scalp has bee burning so he just said I will give you something to help but he never looked my head or even asked more questions. He could not tell me what can be causing it... Nothing! This is a terrible doctor.
Quick visit. In and out in 30 minutes. Parking lot parking - free. Was able to start treatment with sample medication provided and they send my medication request straight to pharmacy. Only had to do one visit to Pharmacy for medication pickup. Saturday appointments also available
It was painless and professional the Doctor and the Nurse was awesome thanks for your help
I think he is a great doctor. I have always been happy with him. He takes time to listen and that is important to me.
I was very satisfied with his care of me.
Very impressed, finally a doctor that sees patients when there appointment is.
I was very impressed with the doctor's knowledge and efficency
I think it was great.
He offered me several treatment options and went out of his way to see to my comfort and recovery.
He knows what he is doing. He is caring and compassionate and the happiest man I know. It was a pleasure. He listened to what I said and was not surprised that part of the area was healed and that some of it spread and immediately offered the necessary meds to treat it. He came in singing. His staff all seems to be very happy working for him.
Dr. Tyring is very knowledgable and willing to help in every way
It was horrible all hw told me that he coupdnt help me and that rhere ia nothing he can do for my acne real profesional Im never goong back and I wouldnt recommend him at all im going ro look for a real profesional.
Doctor and staff was friendly and very helpful
He was the rudest doctor I have ever been to. In fact, I'm going to another dermatologist instead if him. I would rather pay new patient charge again than give him a penny to be so rude. Run from this doctor!!!!!
Only 3 minutes visit, I thought it was over-charged while I have got insurance
Thorough diagnosis and quick for my full body rash
He was very professional and knowledgeable. He explains himself very well. I would definitely go back.
Dr. Tyring is super nice & each appointment takes around 10-15 minutes. Highly recommend!
A little frustrating at first. I had completed all of the paperwork on line, however, they said it didn't save, therefore I had to do it again. The visit was very professional with minimal waiting. Easy to get to and easy parking. Dr. Tyring was hery informative and easy to talk to, which I really liked. I would definitely recommend him.
Feel confident he is a good Dr. Staff was courteous and friendly
Was running behind and seemed rushed to get through the appointment.
He was very friendly and professional. But I feel like he was in a hurry and didn't spent much time with me but maybe because my case wasn't a worst case. This was my first time with them and I was very impress. I diffenately go back there and will recommend to other of my friends.
Very good visit. The Dr. Was very nice and outgoing.
Excellent appointment. Wait was less than 30 minutes. Dr. Tyring immediately knew the medical issue and what was needed to address it unlike the previous dermatologist. Location of the office was excellent with easy parking.
My visit with Dr. Stephen was the most fruitful compared to the other dermatologists I have seen up until now. I feel very confortable
Efficient, fast, good advice
- punctual - Humble - cooperative Thanks.
Excellent. Really helpful. Will go again.
On time, quick. Had a mole frozen, injected a cyst. In and out in 20 minutes including payment.
Great - about time we get decent dermatologists in the 290 Cypress area!
Visit was very rushed and I was given a plethora of prescriptions and sent out the door without actually knowing what was going on. Didn't explain much to me or even seem that interested. Will not be going back and would not recommend.
Love this doctor. My appointment was at 8:50 and I was treated and back in my car by 9:15. I wish all doctors would follow his lead. The office is VERY clean and everyone is pretty friendly.
The visit was quick and he addressed all of my issues
My first visit, everyone including Dr. Tyring were very friendly and professional.
He was in and out like I was on an assembly line had to call office twice to get scipt filled correctly.
Very satisfied with Dr.Tyring---but I detest Facebook! Sorry about that.
Good,,thorough, I start the treatment and waiting for the result
No proper reason of my problem defined... Not enought time spent with me to understand the problem.. Seems everything went in rush...
He seems to be a knowledgeable doctor but he doesnt spend time with the patient not even 5 min.Doesnt explain anything.
Straight to the point. Explained the issue and resolved it.
HE WAS THE SOLUTION TO MY SKIN ISSUE AND WORKED IN CONJUNCTION WITH MY PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN TO GET TO THE ROOT OF MY PROBLEM.
I am pleased with the service I received.
He is efficient, professional, experienced, very personable. He listens and is very patient and thorough
Excellent!!! Wonderful staff and amazing doctor!!!! Would highly recommend office and physician!!!
Very happy, he looked at issues I was having, explained what it was and treated it without hesitation.
He was fine straight to the point not one for small talk, which is fine by me. He was busy and moving fast. I had to initiate the dialog and it seemed as if I was holding him up. Overall my issue was diagnosed and yet to see if it was done properly.
pre-checked in using zocdoc for the first time. Waited about 10 minutes to see the doc. Diagnosed my situation Treated the affected area. Done in less than 30 minutes. Excellent doc and staff.
Quick and got what I needed. I would go back.
Excelllent service and knowledgement of the doctor. Highly recommennded.
He is very attentive and responsive to your concerns. will recommend only what you need and nothing more. love the staff and professionalism.
Very prompt quick and out
Awesome... dr is very Knowledgeable
I waited too much even though I arrived on time for the appointment.
Awesome - very knowledgable and fixed the issue.
Nice guy right to the point
Overall great. He listened to me and answered my questions.
Dr. Tyring was very kind, but just walked in and out in 5 minutes, didn't take my visit too seriously and maybe it wasn't, but he made me feel that I wasted my time and his time having the Annual skin screening if there was nothing bothering me.
Dr. Tyring is very welcoming and has great and professional attitude
Dr Tyring had a great bedside manner with my 7 year old. Very friendly & saw us quickly.
Dr. Tyring is a very professional doctor and was very direct and knowledgable. I was in and out and on my way. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a dermatologist.
He was very professional and a very good visit. Only complaint was a bit of a wait
He was curt and very brief. He did not spend much time answering questions. He seemed irritated we asked questions. He was walking to the door as we were talking to him. I will never return to see him. He was horrible!!! I can't believe I took my teenage daughter to see him.
I am not sure that my diagnosis was correct calling my condition a wart. I have more infection acne then wart like symptoms. If the treatment works it will not matter what the diagnosis was we will have to wait and see.
just wonderful very informing and explained problem in detail!!
Kind of felt ..it was too quick!! Maybe few minutes and worst they mailed my prescription to wrong pharmacy overall it was like going to a govt run hospital Worst staff
Was very helpful and informative. Glad I chose Dr. Tyring. Very satisfied with the visit and results.
Very accomodating & professional physician & P.A. The office staff in the front are not friendly or welcoming at all :-(
My visit with Dr. Tyring was very pleasant. He listened to all my concerns and also asked me questions about how I felt! I would recommend Dr. Tyring and he has an amazing staff that cares as well.
It was great location was clean, professional, safe and secure.
What was done during the appointment was excellent, but wont know the outcome 'till two to three weeks.
Very helpful because 1) I need a dermatologist closer to my home than the one I have been going to 2) I needed another opinion about and a different treatment for the chondrodermatitis nodularis chronica helicis on my left ear that I have been suffering from
Does spend enough time with the patient and does not explain things very well. I felt very rushed both times I saw the doctor. I had a list of ~4 questions, and he was trying to get out the door after number one.
Right to the point. Competent. Friendly.
Perfect! Great Doctor! Great Staff!
I wait for a long time but met him only a minute!
This is the third dermatologist I have tried. I walked out of the other two because of waiting over 45 minutes or more after the appointment time. Dr. Tyring's staff and he were courteous and prompt. THANK YOU
will have to wait to see if treatment is corrective.
It was such a relief to find someone so knowledgeable about psoriasis. I had been going to a great dermatologist, but he wasn't as focused on this particular problem.
Was late by 30 minutes causing me to go into work late and push a meeting back. Most importantly, he rushes you and isn't personable. He doesn't like to answer questions, is forgetful, and he doesn't even look you in the eyes. He tells you nothing about your condition so I'm left to go on the internet, it's ridiculous.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ANYONE. HIS OFFICE IS BEAUTIFUL AND HIS OFFICE STAFF WAS GREAT AND ANY DOCTOR WHO WEARS OSTRICH SKIN BOOTS IS ALRIGHT BY ME!
I was very pleased with my visit to Dr Tyring. The office staff were very efficient and fairly pleasant. ( 4 stars) The doctor's assistant who took my medical information was absolutely wonderful. She was cheerful, helpful, and friendly. We talked about mutual interests, such as my retirement and her work experience (I initiated the conversation). She made me feel very comfortable and lessened my anxiety. (5 stars) Dr. Tyring had 3 medical students who were visiting patients with him. I signed a release allowing them to come in the room for the examination of my complaint. Dr Tyring was very nice, spent plenty of time with me, and answered all my questions. (5 stars) It was well worth the hour trip to Houston to go to Dr. Tyring.
Dr. Tyring is very knowledgeable and confident in his diagnosis. His staff was very nice and there was no wait time in the lobby or in the patient room. This was my first time to see Dr. Tyring and I expected a long wait. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. He also had a lot of samples for me to try. I was very impressed.
Enjoyed conversing with Dr. Tyring about his medical interests. It helped take my mind off of the procedure.
I think he is very knowledgable, but he talked so fast - I had a hard time keeping up with what he was saying. His nurse was very good about answering my questions after the fact. I will go back - but make sure I have all my questions ready!
Not very personable. He was over an hour late arriving to facility, thus appointments were backed up. When we finally were seen, over an hour past our appointment time, he was very rushed. He did, however, address what we needed addressed at the appointment, just in a very rushed and not very personable manner.
I was pleased with my visit and the time Dr. Tyring spent with me.
I had to wait about 50 minutes before even going back to wait in a room. The bathroom was filthy. Im sure if I would have been this late to my appointment they would have cancelled it. Once I finally saw the doctor I felt rushed and he had me out of there in about 10 minutes.
Great place to have an appointment. Great staff and Doctor.
Office staff was friendly. I was seen on time and was out of my appointment within 30 minutes. The doctor was knowledgeable and answered my questions thoroughly.
Over it is very good. He makes patient feel more relax and calm, so patient is willing to talk more and ask more questions. My parent likes him as well. Due to this is my first time visit, so I can't give any further comments yet.
He is very friendly and he cared about my trouble perfectly.
he knows what he is doing
Very professional, nice, and efficient. (Sometimes the two don't mix, but he manages to do all.) Very pleasant visit, after trying out a couple of dermatologists in the area. Also, he seems very competent, as far as I can tell. Will definitely recommend him to friends!
It was as expected.
Very nice and listens to the needs of the patient.
Very personable and helpful and tried to give me a medicine that has a generic to save me money
This guy is a pro - duh. I'll be back
Very professional, pleasant, and informative. This was my first visit and I felt like he was an expert and that put me at ease.
Dr. Tyring was a genuine dr, he takes time to listen to your concerns and questions. I'd certain go back next time!
Wont go back. Dr didn't want.to.listen to my concerns. Just wanted me pay and get-out. 10 sec of time was my appointment length.
Very nice, knew what the problem was right away, was conscious of prescribing something low cost, gave samples and a coupon, gave us resources to learn about the condition
Both the doctor and his nurse were fantastic. The staff seemed well trained, and everyone knew what was going on. My appointment was at 3, I finished my paperwork by 3:05, was seen by 3:10, and left by 345, after having 2 bumps removed. My experience was excellent.
Dr. Tyring was very thorough and listened to my questions and concerns. The staff was very friendly and professional which is a huge bonus.
Samples given to me caused reaction when used. Immediately left message on nurse's voice mail. Still have not talked with anyone from office. Someone called this morning but there was no message. I was not greeted by receptionists. Doctor and nurse friendly.
Dr. Tyring is very pleasant and always addresses my concerns. He is an outstanding physician in his field.
