I had an excellent appointment with Dr. Klein regarding my foot pain and the bump on my metatarsal. He conducted X-rays and an ultrasound during the appointment and took his time to be thorough and attentive. I have follow-up appointments and an MRI scheduled now.

Private practice with 20+ years experience. Emphasis on non-surgical treatments. I have helped adults, children and patients with sports injuries and Worker's Compensation injuries. Excellent results with in-office "Shock Wave" therapy (deep ultrasound treatment) for many common foot and ankle aliments. We have in-office imaging, ultrasound for evaluation of nerves, tendons, ligaments & plantar fascia and X-ray for bone & joints, at both Mountain View and Redwood City locations, can avios MRI in many cases. Board Certified in Foot and Ankle surgery, when surgery is needed. Certified in Ankle Arthroscopy and Fluoroscopy. Married, 2 grown children. I enjoy sailing and mountain biking.

I have what I thought was a fractured toe that had not yet gotten better after 7 weeks of buddy taping and walking in a medical boot. The doctor looked at my feet briefly, had an x-ray taken, looked at my foot again and tested for pain - including yanking my toe once so badly that it arched my back in pain and I screamed (I never scream and am really good with pain.) Since, my toe and the root of the toes into my foot hurt all of a sudden and isn't getting better. To top it,I am now quite sure that the problem has not been exxlusively the toe, but the part of the foot below the toes. The doctor seems to not have noticed anything on the x-ray, including that my middle toe is pulled to the side by the injured toe - despite taking xray of both feet, so didn't compare what's normal for me. Finally, the office staff is very nice, but completely inefficient, hainb me answer the same questions into an iPad when I checked in, then by another assistant into her PC, and day before online.

Dr Klein found what my problem was...a corn on my baby toe. The corn was tiny but I could feel a burning sensation which seemed to be between the baby toe and the next one. My wife, me and even another foot doctor could not see anything. But it had grown a little more and Dr Klein saw it.
He took 3 X-rays which he could see right away before I left. But he did not explain the X-rays to me. This was my only disappointment. Harry Logan

An excellent doctor!
Dr. Klein has explained what the problem is and offered several ways of solving it: conservative with an OTC medicine, moderate with several office visits, and a small office surgery. After we opted in the latter, Dr. Klein and his assistant performed it during the same visit.

OK bedside manner, but would not refer me to physical therapy no matter how much I asked, even though my issues were minor to moderate in severity. Was immediately doom and gloom and prepping me for surgery -- went to a different doctor, and physical therapy did wonders.

Gave me the worst case scenario diagnosis, said 50% I needed surgery. I went for another consultation the next day and got a completely different (more reasonable) diagnosis and next steps -- just minor injuries and definitely will not require a surgery. He didn't seem happy to answer the questions I had and almost right away concluded that I need to change my shoes and need a shoe insert because my legs were not of the same length just by looking at them (got them measured the next day and legs were fine). Overall I feel like doctor didn't really care to listen to my situation and concerns. A very negative experience.

Dr. Klein had some decent advice for dealing with my foot pain, but he seemed to be pretty rushed and just wanted to get out of the room. I would much more appreciate a doctor who asks me if I have any questions at the end, instead of making me feel like I have a interrupt him on his way out.

AMAZING! I went in for a very bad ingrown toenail and he was just so amazing! When he applied the general anesthetic to my toe I didn't feel a thing! And the actual procedure was fast and completely painless! I'm a big baby when it comes to needles and doctors but he was truly so professional and easy going. Could not recommend his office enough!
