“Feet Need Love Too” is the motto and ethic of my office. I have been serving the Bayside area for over 30 years with excellent medical, surgical, and laser foot care from children to seniors in all aspects of podiatry.
Dr. Schecht specializes in Fungus Nail Treatment with the Q-Clear Pulse Laser as well as other treatments.
Dr. Schecht earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Queens College and his doctorate Degree from The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1978 and continued his post medical surgical and medical training for 3 ½ years in the US Army. He opened his practice in Bayside in February 1983.
Dr. Schecht has received the Police Department County Public Service award for saving a drowned child who was pulled from a swimming pool. In Who’s Who 2007-2008 edition he was selected as one of America’s top Podiatrists, 2006-2014.

A 22 year old woman who at age 12 suffered a stroke which resulted in her feet locking in an awkward position affected the mobility of her ankles. She said “all I want to do is dance at my wedding”. I designed a custom made Orthotic which balanced and aligned her feet, giving her the mobility needed to dance at her wedding.
