Great experience!! Both the doctor and the staff were professional, yet warn and friendly. The doctor was very informational and took alot of time with me. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Founded by Dr. Steven Vensand in 1979, Newport Optometric Vision Center is the premier eyecare clinic in Newport Beach.
We provide basic eye exams, comprehensive ocular health evaluations, fittings for contact lenses, cataract and refractive surgery co-management, and diagnosis and treatment of certain eye diseases. We work with a network of ophthalmologists for special eye condition referrals to protect and preserve your precious eyesight.
We are proud to carry name brand contact lenses and eyeglasses. Our services include eyewear dispensing, repair, and adjustment, including progressive, bifocal, and fittings for single vision lenses.

Since 1978 I have a patient at Dr. Steve Vensand. I tried other Doctors But no one Could get my eye sight as good as Doctor Vensand. I call him the contact Guru.

I've been a patient of Dr. Vensand for 16 years. My vision plan has changed with my job a few times. I have had to change doctors but I always come back. Now my children are patients as well.

It's seemed like a very odd eye glass store that had an old doctor slowly shifting around. One receptionist, one doctor. They seem like OK peeps but was not what I was expecting for an eye doctor. My expectations could be way off since I had not had a check on my eyes for 20+ years. I went to an eye doctor, not an eye glass store. But I stood around for 20 minutes while the receptionist put my info into the computer(seems like it should have already been there.) While I was left passing the time mail person arrived. She commented on how she had not delivered any boxes of late, the receptionist said they have been slow lately. So me standing around for 20-30 minutes was even more confusing. The doctor totally ignored me. People that came in after me got helped first even though I had an appointment. Once the doctor helped the other customer then all of the sudden I was noticed by the doctor. Since I am not in the biz I have no idea if this is standard practice, but I was less then impressed. Looked to me like they are all about billing my health insurance and selling frames. Maybe that is what peeps have to do these days to stay in business. It is a sad comentary either way.
