I am Dr. Subhash Sikder, a primary care physician, HIV specialist and Suboxone provider, serving the Brooklyn and Queens community for years. I welcome adults, children, aolescents, and geriatric patients. The community is my extended family. Health care must be universal, irrespective of ability to pay. My motto is to take care of individuals as a whole, and not just treat symptoms.
I hold several degrees and have over 30 years of experience practicing family and emergency medicine. I received my first medical degree in 1980 in my country of origin Bangladesh. I worked several years as the Emergency Medical Officer at Isphahan General Hopsital in Iran. Upon emigrating to the U.S., I studied four years in medical school and obtained degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine "D.O." from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. Then I completed three years Residency in Family Medicine at Long Beach Medical Center. I served as Chief of Staff at Iron County Medical Center in Ironton, Missouri. I am now back in New York in private practice in Brooklyn, NY. Besides English and Bengali I also speak Farsi and Hindi. I am also a writer and published several books. .
