After obtaining her Medical Degree and MBBS Degree from the Medical College of Calcutta, one of the most prestigious and pioneer medical schools in India, Dr. Sudeshna Nandi completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York and became Board Certified in 2005. Dr. Nandi went on to complete a Geriatrics Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta in 2006. Dr. Nandi has special interest in dealing with Geriatric issues, including: Dementia, Depression, Cognitive and Movement disorders, and Incontinence, among others. Presently she works part-time at an out patient clinic in Norcross and also has her own mobile practice, “MD On-Call”. She makes house calls and examines the patient in the comfort of their homes, and coordinates all other care for them (specialist referrals, ordering imaging/ therapy/ labs, medication refills etc.). She accepts all major insurances. She is also experienced in Hospital practice. In addition to English, she also speaks the Indian languages Bangla and Hindi. Originally from West Bengal (India), Dr. Nandi now resides in Duluth with her husband and son. Although she maintains a busy medical practice, she makes time to remain active in the Indian-Bengali community in regard to socio-cultural issues and enjoys gardening, dancing and singing.
