Suezie Kim, MD, FAAOS is a Board-Certified Orthopedic surgeon with experience in basic and complex sports medicine, trauma, and general orthopedic surgery. She has a special interest in treating athletic injuries and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder.
Dr. Kim was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from the University of California, Riverside. She received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine with sponsorship from the US Navy. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed 5 years of residency training at New York University/Hospital for Joint Disease. She had the opportunity to gain extensive experience in all facets of Orthopedic surgery at some of the busiest hospitals in New York City.
Upon completion of her residency training, she began her active duty service at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton were she earned the rank of Lieutenant Commander. She was honored to serve the country and care for the Marines and their families. Restoring physically demanding individuals back to active duty was gratifying and rewarding.
After her time at Camp Pendleton, she decided to transition to a civilian practice to be closer to her husband in Tucson. With the addition of a baby daughter, she is excited to begin her family in the desert. Dr. Kim’s goal is to serve the Tucson community. She works with each of her patients and their families to provide effective treatment. From her initial interaction with a patient through treatment to final recovery, she is dedicated to providing the highest level of care.
