Dr. Amiry's office is in the Reston Hospital complex with reasonable parking and access. Upon entering his office, his staff are professional and reasonably cordial but not overly friendly. I did have to wait over 45 minutes and then my actual in office time was less than 10 minutes. He burned a spot off my face and honestly, I'm not sure it will fall off. I was told that if the spot doesn't come off on it's own I'd have to pay again... which doesn't seem right.

I wasn't happy or comfortable with the way I was treated. I didn't expect to have a mole chopped off like a piece of steak.
Quick to see me and quick, yet thorough, appointment. Having free cookies in the waiting area is such a nice touch as well

Not very happy with the diagnosis. Was recommended OTC drugs that I could have got myself without visiting the doctor.
Dr. Amiry was very polite, knowledgeable, and overall professional. I liked the easiness of checking in.

He was quick but thorough. He was upfront about my treatment options and the possible outcomes.

The doctors needs to be more personal. The staff needs to be more communicative.

He was good. I can see why other patients feel rushed, but I didn't mind it.

Very professional, experienced and friendly staff.
The Dr was very racist to me! I had told him about my oily and itchy scalp! And had informed Dr Amiri that i wash every 2 days if not more often coz i exercise. He said i know African Americans dont wash their hair often. He repeated that twice to me !!! I still feel offended and humiliated and thats not how should a dr be treating a patient! Totally unacceptable.

The appointment, which was a follow up, went well. I was given steroids shots in a keloid. When I got home, I was in considerable pain. We tried to call the doctor, the nurse was totally helpless, and the doctor never called us back as we were promised. The pain did subside after a few hours. But thay was a highly unprofessional way to deal with a paitient.
Complete professional and super nice

This guy could not be bothered. I made an appointment for a consultation to ask about what could be done about my scars and make sure it wasn't a medical condition that deserved further treatment. He took one look at my arm, suggested "cutting the scar out" as possibly a joke? I asked him a few more questions, he then looked at me and said "no more questions" then left after less than 5 mins. To top it all off, I got a very large bill for his less than 5 minute "consultation", if that's what you could call it. DO NOT go to this guy.

What an awesome experience!! I had never been to a dermatologist's office prior to this appointment for my scalp. I showed up about 10 minutes prior to my appointment time and only waited for about 5. The receptionists and assistant was great and the doctor came in within minutes to see me. For something that is so common in males of my race, he knew exactly what was going on and made me feel at ease. The prescription I got was not covered under my insurance and they helped me get it through the speciality pharmacy they partner with. So far so good and all has gone smoothly. Highly recommended!

Office location: Awesome! In Reston Town Center's hospital. There is valet sometimes but there is no convenient covered parking garage, on a daily basis there is a large crowded private parking lot. Because this is in a hospital be prepared for institutional hallways, sick people in the elevators with you, etc. Not the prettiest! Ambiance: I know this is a doctor. But I'm all about ambiance of my dermatologist, dentist, physician, etc. As soon as you open the door (first doctor's office on your right after the glass walkway) you're immediately aware you're in a different space. Comfy chairs, dim lights, painted walls, TV, complimentary cookies and beverages. This doctor did a great job at setting expectations. Staff: The woman that work the front desk and as the nurses have been great so far! While one particular woman behind the desk is a little louder with your personal information as you check out than I'd like she was not enough to deter me from returning. Everyone greeted me with a smile as I was walked back to my room for a consultation! You can hear the women discussing patients (professionally relaying info to the doc for example) outside the closed consultation doors, I know they can't change the construction of the building but I do wish I didn't hear some other patients details. I wondered if they could hear me speak?? Wait time: I found Dr. Amiry through ZocDoc an app like Yelp for the medical community. I filled out a lot of information before I showed up with ZocDoc and luckily they did not ask me to refill any paperwork. Just 1 or 2 pages. I was taken back 5 minutes after I arrived. Dr. Amiry: Bed side manner is the best! I met with him to discuss skin issues (duh) he listened intently, asked meaningful questions and made me feel very comfortable. I was prescribed 3 different medications. The best part about the experience with Dr. Amiry was his patience when I returned a week later bc I felt unsatisfied. My second visit I came much more prepared and said I wanted to attempt a holistic approach Vs topical treatments for adult acne. He was so onboard! I was given a list of vitamins and probiotics to take daily. I was recommend several books and nutritionists etc. I was really excited to be taken seriously and given genuine time from the Doctor despite my reluctance to jump straight to traditional prescription medications for treating any issues. Dermasweep: As someone who gets a facial on a monthly basis I was excited to try something different. A quick search on Instagram of a Dermasweep hashtag will reveal what this process promises to deliver. I have gone to Andrea to get Dermasweep done and it's very relaxing. They take you to a separate waiting room for cosmetic procedures. This waiting room is smaller and filled with samples of a few products! Andrea's room is large and dark. It was just like going to a spa except I didn't have a locker room to change into a plush robe. Andre is professional and informative. Policies: I did purchase two products from the office that I ultimately did not like. They just made my face way too dry and in hindsight were probably too strong for what I needed. The doctors office accepts returns but will only offer a credit to use. You can use the credit on any product or service! I highly recommend you check out this dermatologist!

I noticed about about a collection in my credit report without getting notified from Reston Dermatology & Cosmetic Ctr! Most of the amount was paid by my insurance agency but I did not receive any bill for my co-payment!
Verified patient
I am sure he is a decent dermatologist but if you are going to him to solve your acne problems, I would find someone else. Every other dermatologist I have been to was at least able to remember me and didn't prescribe me blindly without remembering what I had taken in the past. I had to mention to him several times to remind him why I was on this medication and the dosage (which he prescribed me) or that I had already taken antibiotics and which antibiotic I took. He is clearly a specialist in working with the wealthy women of Reston who care about Botox and spray tanning.
Verified patient
Pretty much to the point, doesn't have a lot of time for patients so he didn't explain things nearly as much as I would like. Staff isn't unfriendly but not caring either..

Professional doctor and staff.

Really nice and professional staff in the office and the whole process was exceptional. Exactly what I want from a Dr. Even had coffee and cookies while you wait :)

Dr Amiry and his associates were very courteous, saw me immediately, explained the situation, and addressed my concerns. I was very satisfied and will see Dr Amiry again if need be.
top notch!

Very impressed. professional,and efficient.
I was taken care of immediately and he mentioned few things which none of my previous doctors told me to do which made me feel hm to be quite knowledgeable. Only problem was you may feel they try to sell their products along with prescription. I got some and hopefully they work as mentioned by them.
Verified patient
Nice guy, but let the nurse do a lot of the explanation because he had to go to the Next patient. Other than that, good experience.
Convenient location. Professional, efficient, and friendly staff. Clean, smartly decorated, and well-organized office. I felt like I was in good, capable hands.
Great doctor. Excellent bedside manner. Diagnosed me with a condition my family doctor wanted me to see a specialist for. Staff was very nice too. Beautiful office offering multiple cosmetic and aesthetic treatments too. I'll return for a follow up for the skin condition and will schedule cosmetic treatment as well. I'm happy to have found this doctor!

Very, very efficiently run office by a very friendly and attentive staff. Dr. Amiry, besides being very nice, took time to answer all my questions.
