I was pleased with his easy manner and thoroughness in going over my history. I was hoping that he was more of an internist as opposed to a sports therapist. As his assistant said "he does everything" and I am sure he can. However, I have to decide if adding yet more doctors to my already full roster is what I want to do, or do I want an old fashioned family practitioner (internist).
Overall, my experience with Dr. Shah and his staff was very pleasant.

I appreciate His Professionalism, as well as His compassion. He goes out of His way to Identify the actualyy problem rather than just treating symptoms. His honesty & bedside manner were a rare treat for Me! :-D

Dr. Syed H Shah, MD, CAQSM is the founder and medical director of Central Florida Medical Center. Dr. Shah specializes in the nonoperative treatment of sports and orthopedic injuries as well as general medical conditions related to physical activity in athletes and non-athletes of all ages, from Pediatric to Geriatric populations.
A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, he received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from East Carolina University. After completing medical school in St Maarten, he completed a Family Medicine residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of the University Of North Carolina School Of Medicine, in Wilmington, North Carolina. During residency, Dr. Shah served as chief resident and was honored as the most outstanding resident for excellence in family medicine. Subsequently, he completed an extra year of fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine with the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine, Las Vegas.
During his time in Las Vegas, Dr. Shah served as an associate team physician for the University Of Nevada Las Vegas Running Rebels Athletic Department. He has also provided medical coverage for athletic events of all levels from amateur to professional, including High school/Collegiate athletics, Semi-pro hockey, as a USA boxing ringside physician, an NBA summer league physician and for numerous Mass Participation Marathons.

I was pleased with his easy manner and thoroughness in going over my history. I was hoping that he was more of an internist as opposed to a sports therapist.
