Doctor Syed K Shahid completed his medical education from Dow Medical College in Karachi, graduating with distinction in OB GYN, and received a Gold Medal from Karachi University. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Mount Vernon Hospital NY, earning the best resident award in 1996. Dr. Shahid pursued a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at UMDNJ, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, NJ. He has experience with working at different levels of health care ranging from teaching and training of medical graduates, to providing care at hospitals and outpatient clinics over the last 17 years.
Patients visiting Dr. Shahid can receive a full range of services for general endocrine issues, which includes diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, low testosterone, Calcium and Vitamin D related disorders, steroids excess and deficiency, and pituitary disease.
