Dr. Sylvia Cho is adept at catering to the culturally diverse population of Medford, MA. She is excited to bring her knowledge to Tufts MC Community Care-Medford/Melrose OBGYN. Her goal during patient visits is to help women understand their bodily functions and encourage them to be actively involved in maintaining their well-being.
Dr. Cho earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lehigh Valley Hospital and holds a bachelor's degree from Brown University. She is also an active member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Skilled with the intricacies of obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Cho is a zealous researcher with authorial credits in numerous esteemed publications. She also believes in giving back to underserved communities and has participated in many volunteering activities. Outside of medicine, she enjoys snowboarding, running, and traveling.

Dr. Cho and her entire staff were amazing. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist and medical assistant took great care of me. Dr. Cho listened to me, validated how I was feeling and made recommendations that suited my needs. I am confident that I am in good hands, she took her time and didn’t make me feel rushed. She also set expectations for future care which put me at ease about next steps.

My partner and I recently moved to the area and we’re looking for a trusted OBGYN, and I came across Dr.Cho on Zocdoc. She is AMAZING. So kind and patient and really takes the time to make sure you are comfortable. The office is LGBTQ+ friendly and made us feel very safe. She will definitely be our only OB going forward

Dr. Cho is a polite doctor but she seems not to help me a lot with my concerns and not really do the exams I need for pregnancy, she wants me to go to infertility clinic to do exam, then I went 2nd doctor for opinions, 2nd doctor did all exams I need pre-pregnant and set up everything for me without confusion.
I called back Dr. Cho’s clinic few days ago coz I thought I did Pap smear, but the lady who returned the call made me very uncomfortable, she was hostile kept saying “you said and I quoted (…)” I explained I think I did and it’s a confusing situation for me that time, she repeated with hostile tone again which made me super uncomfortable,
I won’t recommend for anyone who wants to be a mom coming here, Dr. cho is polite but didn’t really give you what you need to exam/know
