As an adult psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner, I have the privilege of assisting clients in addressing their mental health challenges through virtual care. I specialize in medication management as part of a comprehensive approach to mental health treatment, working alongside clients to navigate mood and behavioral challenges.
My academic journey has been rich and multifaceted—I earned my BSN from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2001, followed by an MSN, FNP from D'Youville College in 2010, and a PhD in Health Policy/Health Administration from D'Youville University in 2015. In 2022, I expanded my qualifications with a Post-Master's Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from UB.
My clinical perspective has been profoundly shaped by over 14 years of family medicine practice at Jericho Road Community Health Center, where I've cultivated an approach that recognizes the intricate connections between physical and mental health.
Recognizing that there are a variety of factors that play a role in who and how we are as humans allows me to dig deep and discover which of those factors contribute to mood or behavioral challenges.
I aim to help clients understand these influences and develop tailored treatment plans that support long-term stability.
