I specialize in the delivery of evidence-based assessment and treatment for a variety of presenting concerns. My primary expertise is in the treatment of anxiety, mood, and trauma-based disorders. I'm also well suited for anyone seeking treatment of self-regulation disorders: such as ADHD or oppositional behaviors. My approach to therapy rests on the premise that personal values and goals are the best long term drivers of our behaviors.I believe that feeling better is not always the same as getting better; that making meaningful, stable changes in one's life often requires some sacrifice in discomfort.
For adults and teens, I have extensive experience in the delivery of Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, ACT, and exposure-based treatments of anxiety disorders and trauma. For children, I specialize in parent management training and self-instructional training for the treatment of ADHD, oppositional and defiant concerns.
Working with clients, through their own efforts, I strive to help them bring about real changes that affect the whole of their lives. In this regard I view 'symptoms' or 'problematic behaviors' as one piece of information that exists in the context of one's history, relationships, values, and ambitions.
