After Dr. Tamyra L. Rogers’ Chief Resident year at the University of Oklahoma Health Science, her destiny in medicine became apparent. From Chief Residency in Oklahoma, Dr. Rogers would move on to become Director of the Metabolic Clinic for Tuba City Indian Medical Center in Tuba City, Arizona. While there, she would help build the first Wellness Center for the Navajo nation to fight against the epidemic of diabetes by chairing the Diabetic Program for the Tuba City Indian Medical Center. And during her time on the reservation, Dr. Rogers realized and incorporated their holistic approach with her Western medicine technique. Since arriving in San Antonio in 2001, she has been avidly treating obesity using her research and skills obtained through her years of training.
Dr. Rogers is a practicing member of the ASBP, and has been named as one of San Antonio’s Top Doctors in 2009. Dr. Rogers has recently received national attention by being named one of Americas Top Physicians in Internal Medicine and Bariatrics by the Consumer Research Council. During the past year, she has spoken on the subject of micronutrients and the care of weight loss surgical patients at the American Society of Bariatric Physicians Annual Conference. Dr. Rogers has continued her lecture series as the keynote speaker for the Women In Medicine Bexar County Society.
To add to her list of accolades, the University of Oklahoma in 2007 named an endowment scholarship in honor of Dr. Rogers’ collegiate basketball tenure at the university. Both on and off the court, she has always had a strong drive and commitment. Dr. Rogers continues the fight against the societal epidemic of obesity, and is committed to helping her patients achieve a healthy and happy life!

It was okay, but felt like a "doc in the box". Advertisements for weight loss everywhere, so if that's what you're there for, you're probably good. If not, I'd find somewhere else to go.
