Thank God for this doctor and the few others like him. Without him I'd still be walking around in excruciating pain (still am but on my way to recovery). I spent two years straight and a few before that unable to do simple household chores, unable to work out, or even walk my dog without collapsing in agony and tears. It took him 2 seconds to figure out what 2 other Orthopedics and an Internist could not. His secret? He LISTENS & BELIEVES.

Dr. Hume treats patients age 19+. He no longer treats fractures. Dr. Hume is intimately involved with each patient and spends time listening to them and giving them all the information and options available. Thorough, detail-oriented and compassionate, it’s no surprise that Dr. Hume won the Physician of the Year Award in 2007 and the Five-Star Award from the Uniform Services Family Health Plan in 2011. His specialty includes treatment of hips, knees, carpal tunnel (Wrist pain, numbness, tingling), trigger finger, Total Knee and Hip Replacements, Carpal Tunnel Surgery and Trigger Finger Surgery, in-office joint steroid injections, and hyuranoic (synvisc) injections.
Each individual, regardless of economic of ethnic background, receives equal status and quality of care. In addition to being board certified as an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Hume continues to stay knowledgeable by attending Harris County Medical Society seminars and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons conference.
Outside of the office, he enjoys playing with his five grandchildren and is a parishioner of Lakewood Church.

I was late as usual to my appointment but I was seen in about an hour after getting there. Staff is nice and everyone explains every detail of your procedure. Overall my experience was very pleasant.

He is a very good doctor . Years of experience, but I came out like I went in. Still in pain. To return in a month with follow up information to
be told the same thing in the mean time I still have the issues I went there to resolve & the pain is still there no pain meds given.

Unlike the last Ortho surgeon I went to, Dr. Hume actually saw me. He did not send a PA in instead. He seemed very knowledgable. He was very personably and kind. He was very informative. He did not seem rushed to get to the next patient. I would recommend him to others.

I like Dr. Hume immensely. The wait time is long, but justified in that he does not rush a patient along. He takes all the time necessary to really listen to and focus on each patient's issues, and to understand and treat the issues effectively.

I got helped right away, and was very happy with the speed of this visit This doctors office is a bit outdated and could use a few new bright light bulbs to liven the place up but I must say that I had a very pleasant experience! Dr. Hume was very knowledgeable and informative. He listened to me carefully and was very proactive about getting me feeling better. I look forward to my next visit!

Dr. Hume has loss of patients but he was through, patient and answered all my questions completely without rushing me. All the office staff were excellent. I just don't experience this type of quality services in medical field now a days any where else.

Excellent physician. Great people skills. Discusses all options for treatment with you in terms you can understand. Respects your time and you are seen within about 5-10 mins of arrival. Great office staff that has been with him for a long time. I have a long term progressive condition so I have been going to Dr. Hume for about 10 years now and will continue to seek his guidance in the future.
