Excellent orthopedic surgeon. Pleasant office staff.
Excellent! - Great explaination of my need for surgery - everything was what Dr. Gertel had said - I'm truly glad I had the surgery, P.T. everything with Dr. Gertel, Kate & Deb.

From the minute I walked into Milwaukee Orthopedic Group I felt completely at ease. The pleasant staff was more than helpful and made you feel quite comfortable. I found Dr. Gertel to be quite professional and very thorough. After the diagnosis was made he proceeded immediately with treatment. The injection into the elbow was painless.
The provider was very knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Gertel investigated the problem and was very efficient with his and my time. Dr. Gertel was easy to talk with about the injury and provided the best options for treatment. My surgery and recovery went better than anyone expected and I recommend Dr. Gertel to anyone in need of orthopaedic healthcare.
Dr. Gertel explained in very good detail what he was going to do (inject R elbow) and what were the expected results. He was very gentle and patient with me. Before my visit with him I could not crochet even 2 rows of a blanket without pain in my elbow. Approx 3 weeks after my PRP (11-15-11) (plate rich in plasma) injection I was feeling no pain since then I can now crochet for hours @ a time with 0 pain.
the doctor took his time to explain what happened to my knee. He reviewed the MRI with me and told me the upcoming plans to fix my problem knee. He answered all of my questions and I had plenty. He was available to answer anymore questions that might have come up.
Surpassed my expectations. Took the time to listen to what my concerns were. Explained what needed to be done in a way I could understand. Very friendly staff.
