In search for a primary care physician I found Theresa Fenohr through zocdoc and decided to make an appointment. At first she seemed like a nice lady but then asked why I was in need of a blood panel. After explaining my reasoning she completely changed her attitude towards me, and became very rude and judgemental. Discriminating me, treating me as if I were inferior to her, stereotyping me because I admitted to being in recovery. I understand that doctors may be tired of the heroin epidemic that is going on, but stereotyping me as a "typical addict" the way she did was extremely unprofessional and very hurtful. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly by someone I had just met. To deny me the medical care I needed and claim that I was "manipulating the system" by seeking medical care was unacceptable. She made it out to seem like I was lying and didn't even give me a chance to prove my innocence and sobriety. I've been in treatment and recovery for well over a year and to be treated that way was very disheartening and very shocking honestly. I expected to be treated as a person, not a junkie especially by a medical "professional" who is supposed to care for and assist their patients. Knowing nothing about me this lady literally made me cry after all the judgmental things she said. I will not be going back there she has no respect for her patients and after the way she treated me I honestly wouldn't trust her with any of my healthcare anyway. I am appalled by this experience and hope this lady realizes how unprofessional and hurtful her atitude really was. If she had treated a newly sober person the way she treated me I have no doubt she would have been detrimental to their sobriety. If she has such an issue with addicts she should be more supportive to those in recovery and just in general not discriminate any of her patients.

A great doctor who makes it her priority to see that you are taken care of in a timely manner and her goal is always to make sure you understand everything that is going on during your visit. I personally would not of had any kind of quality of life the last few months if it had not been for Dr Fenohr.
