Thomas L. Engel, M.D. was born in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1976. He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco General Hospital in 1977, his Residency in General Surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco, and his Residency in Otolayrngology - Head and Neck Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco in 1983.
Dr. Engel is currently on active staff of the California Pacific Medical Center where he is Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology and is Associate Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.
