Dr. McGivney received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology in 1987, and a Masters in Physiology the following year, from Oklahoma State University. In 1992, he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Dr. McGivney served his general surgery internship and orthopaedic residency at the University of Oklahoma Hospital before completing a Spine Surgery Fellowship through Southern Illinois University in 1998.
