Dr. Puschak reminds me of an athlete ready to go into the big game! He has an infectious enthusiasm that has a positive effect on everyone. He never talks down to me, and never leaves me until I am satisfied I have asked everything I need to ask.
Dr. Puschak is a wonderful surgeon. He performed a cervical fusion ten years ago and it's doing great. I highly recommend him to everyone I hear about that needs any kind of spine surgery. I'm so grateful he's local for me!

He always spends whatever time necessary to answer all my questions. I feel he is genuinely concerned about my well-being.
He is one of the most awesome doctors that I have ever been associated with. I would recommend him to friends and family.
Verified patient
The only reason I had a "wait" time is because I hadn't gotten my paperwork filled out prior to going to the office.
Verified patient
I was provided a very specific explanation of the reason for may pain and was proscribed a very specific treatment.
Verified patient
Good at explaining situation, recommended treatment, and mid term options if recommended treatment doesn't work.

I was very pleased with the his frankness and professional attitude. He didn't tell me what I wanted to hear, but he told me the truth. I learned more about my problem from him than I have from others. I really enjoyed his frankness.
Verified patient
The office visit was good. Dr. Puschuk is very good about spending time going over all my concerns and I personally like his disposition. I didn't get in until about 2 hours after my appointment time. If I had know that I could have put in a couple more hours at work. I'm not salaried, I only get paid by the hours that I work so I was disappointed in having to wait so long. All the time I am out for appointments and surgery time will be time I'm not paid for so it's important for me to get in as many hours as I can.
I thought he spent the right amount of time explaining what to do next and was sympathetic with what was going on with my health.

Had a great visit other than having to wait more than an hour. Not great news about my condition but that is not the fault of the Dr.
Verified patient
I have had a few visits w/ Dr.Pushak over a piriod of approx. 10yrs. and he has always been very informative and cordial as well professional. I would not think to reach out for an opionion another an doctor in his field of practice unless he encouraged me to do so. I would like to thank him for his honesty respect.
Verified patient
He is extremely caring and competent. I love his bedside manner and his compassion. I would highly recommend him to anyone. His group was recommended to me by a dear friend in CALIFORNIA who is an orthopedic RN.

Verified patient
Dr. Puschak is always so detailed with every thing he says to me about my condition that I hardly have any questions... He did an amazing job and I am very pleased with the out come.
Verified patient
Always great,Dr.Puschak is professional and always caring. Remembers lat visit and is always interested in how your doing and what your doing. I feel Blessed that he was referred to me, to do my back surgery.
Verified patient
I've had 2 incidents that took me to Dr. Puschak and wow, what a professional, extremely competent doctor! I wouldn't consider going to anyone else! Scheduling appts, office visits, Dr Puschak and staff, diagnosis, treatments, ALL streamlined and efficient. Oh, and I must mention how well my back has been for 6 yrs now!!
Verified patient
Dr. Puschak is a blessing to the medical community. He is genuine, caring, engaged and truly the best. I've had other doctors whom I would never refer others too, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to send people Dr. Puschak's way and have done so. Thank you, Dr. Puschak, for bring so kind and helpful.
Verified patient
Very impressed with Dr. Puschak. Direct and clear in his explanation of my problem and how to correct it. Very personable and clear on what to expect.
He answered my concerns about my back pain and recommended a non invasive procedure to try first. I was very thankful for his help.
Verified patient
I was very disappointed with Dr. Puschak & feel that my visit was a waste of time. He was 1.5 hours late & never bothered to apologize. He seemed distracted & rushed, trying to catch up on his overbooked appointments, so he didn't take time to listen to my medical issues or concerns. He never even took time to touch me or to actually examine my back. So, it doesn't surprise me that his records & office report were filled with inaccuracies, omissions & misinformation. I have had worsening cervical & lumbar pain for years which has also prevented me from being able to stand up straight. After spending only a few minutes with me, Dr. Puchack concluded that there was nothing he could do to improve my limited function or the severe pain that was affecting all aspects of my life. rmy for he and he told me that he couldn't do anything to help me. So if you are looking for a compassionate surgeon who also has training and skills to address more complex spines, then don't waste your time with Dr. Puchack.
Verified patient
Dr. Puschak spends time explaining things so that they are easy to understand. I always feel like he is really listening to my concerns. He has a great personality and is very professional.
Verified patient
I think my visit was very one sided, he would talk, i would listen, and then he said it was my turn to talk, but i never got my turn as when i would begin to say something he would jump in and finish the sentence and so my relevance to talk about my condition was invalidated. The whole talk about my condition with him lasted at the most 5 minutes.
The office staff was pleasant and helped me sort through my insurance concerns. Dr. Puschak was very kind and answered all of my questions. He was very knowledgeable on my condition and I feel confident that his treatment plan will put me on the road to recovery.
Verified patient
As always, Dr. Puschak was very personable and explained everything in great detail. The exact opposite of the Dr. (from another office) who did the initial surgery on me. I left with a lot of confidence that this would be all right.
Verified patient
No one told me that the office was running behind. I don't understand how they can let you wait for over an hour (between the waiting room of 20 minutes and another 45 in the room).
Verified patient
Waited 1.5 hours to see this MD, told to put on little paper shorts (very cold room with paper shorts on, no fun) because he would be examing me. Well he never touched me! How can you evaluate a patient and not touch them?! He told me to get mri and steroids if my urologist (I have IC) agreed. MA gave me rx and prior auth forms for mri. I tried to explain that my anthem bc/bs does not require prior auth but she said that's the way it is here. Well I won't be returning. Oh and BTW I am an RN with 35 years of patient care experience and I would never treat a patient the way I was treated.
Verified patient
Dr. Puschakl always takes time to explain what the issues are and what options you have for correcting them. I have been pleased with the results after seeing him for my first back surgery, which is one of the main reasons i am having him perform this one as well.
Verified patient
I tried for over an hour to enter my e-mail address to get on NextMD, but to no avail. The computer would not take any password i entered. It kept saying the password was already in there. I used numerous passwords and it would not take any of them. Sorry but I guess I will just have to call if I have a problem.
