About Dr. Thomas Walker
Dr. Thomas J. Walker, MD, FACS is double board-certified in Otolaryngology, as well as Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Walker treats all aspects of ear, nose, and throat problems, although he has a special passion for rhinology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, particularly functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty.
Dr. Walker enjoys nasal surgery specifically because of the delicate nature of the surgery, the required meticulous attention to detail, the delicate and complicated anatomy, the intimate relationship between form and function, and the fact that no two noses are ever alike, which requires a combination of critical thinking and utilizing state-of-the art surgical techniques (if surgery is the best course of action).
Dr. Walker received his undergraduate degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed his residency at the University of Miami in Florida, followed by a prestigious fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery in Chicago under the mentorship of Dr. Dean Toriumi, a world-renowned leader in rhinoplasty. Dr. Walker is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and a fellow of American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Walker is originally from Germany, but moved to the United States more than twenty years ago. In his rare spare time, Dr. Walker spends quality time with his wife and two children, enjoys playing tennis or golf, and loves baking.

Dr Walker was very informative and listened to the issue. When my description was complete, he walked me through his thoughts on the root cause and how we could proceed with treatment in a few different ways. Unlike the last Dr i saw at this practice, who just told me there was nothing he could do and prescribed me something Dr Walker said he never prescribes. Would definitely see Dr. Walker again.

Dr. Walker was AMAZING! He was kind and transparent. He listened to my concerns and thoroughly explained his plan of action. He answered all of my questions, was very personable, and was not in any rush to end the visit quickly and get to the next patient. The doctor would not listen to my concerns and my ear hurts just the same as before I went to the appointment. I asked him to look inside my ear with just his eyes to see the buildup I have been picking out for months. He would not do so, rather referred to the scope he put in my ear to see down the canal, which was not where the pain was coming from. They gave me a hearing test (which I am sure I will be billed for) even though on my paperwork I stated I had no hearing problems. Dr. Walker said he saw absolutely nothing and there is no problem with my ear. But I still have continuous pain and yellow stuff coming out. The only advice I got was to stop digging in my ear and take an Aleve.. I understand that I should not dig in my ear, but there is stuff in there that he would not look at to see how I can clear the drainage up. He then said I can come back and meet with one of his colleagues for a second opinion, since I didn’t believe his NO issues found.

Had a blunt force injury to my nose, pcp recommended pain meds whereas Dr. Walker actually examined my nose and recommended a septoplasty. So I could breathe better ! Dr. Walker and staff were very friendly and helpful!

Well organized work! A few reminders came in e-mail and text message before the appointment. I filled out quastionaire before, so much time saved, and doctor was wonderful.
