Dr. Thresiamma Nidhiry is a dual certified medical specialist who specializes in General Psychiatry. After graduating from the University of Kerala in India, she moved to Italy where she received her M.D degree from the University of Genoa in 1971. She completed her post graduate training in Pulmonary Diseases from the same institutions.
Dr. Nidhiry eventually moved to the US and continued her medical training through a Residency in Adult Psychiatry from the Kingsboro Psychiatry Center in Brooklyn after which she specialized in Psychiatry through a fellowship from the Brookdale Medical Center.
During her medical career Dr. Thresiamma Nidhiry received her psychiatric training while serving as a psychiatric consultant at the Bedford Stuyvesant Community Mental Hospital and the Brooklyn Center for Families in Crises. She also served as a staff psychiatrist at the Woodhull Hospital in addition to a number of other notable medical and psychiatric facilities in New York. He currently serves as a Psychiatric Consultant at the Neighborhood Community Center in Brooklyn.
As a psychiatrist, Dr. Thresiamma Nidhiry knows how delicate a person’s psyche can be, which is why she analyzes every case thoroughly before prescribing any remedial medication. Her fluency in Italian, Malayalam and English makes it convenient for patients from a wide range of ethnicities to seek her counsel. Her insightful and compassionate nature helps her treat patients of all ages.
