Dr. Hui's knowledge, especially for musicians and injuries that impact our ability to play our instruments/ make a living, is unparalleled. He is extremely thorough and explains everything clearly. He is able to effectively treat the symptoms at hand and advice against the cause. I worked with him for months in NYC to correct a shoulder injury and with his expertise, I was able to continue playing the violin while correcting the cause of the issue.

Timothy Hui is a Physical Therapist with over a decade of experience with orthopedic injuries. He specializes in hands-on treatment of a wide range of clients, from professional musicians, such as those at Juilliard or the Philharmonic, to weekend warriors, to those suffering from back pain and carpal tunnel from hours at a desk.
Timothy takes a comprehensive approach to physical therapy, addressing all involved tissues as well as associated movement disorders. He has designed, performed, and published peer-reviewed research on detecting tissue injuries with microcurrent and treating them with physical therapy techniques, and has presented at conferences. With this, Timothy is able to accurately and effectively treat orthopedic injuries.
Aside from their specific injuries, Timothy knows that each patient has personal goals for their therapy. Treatments will be tailored towards reaching these goals, whether they are from a professional adventure racer, or someone who wishes to walk their dog with pain-free knees. To accomplish this, patients will receive both treatments to the affected areas and patient education to augment the treatments and prevent future injuries.
Timothy earned his doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in California. Prior to that, he earned his doctorate in Chiropractic from the Southern California University of Health Sciences and his Bachelors in Physiological Science from UCLA. Before joining Orthology, Timothy had practiced since 2001 in Los Angeles, Washington DC, and New York.
