Dr. Jackson born and raised with his ten brothers and sisters in Las Vegas. He graduated from Bonanza High school and deferred college to serve a two year mission to Guatemala. While serving in Guatemala, Dr. Jackson learned Spanish and learned to love the humble people of that great country.
Upon returning from Guatemala, Dr. Jackson attended Brigham Young University and graduated with honors in accounting and zoology. He then completed his medical doctorate degree at the prestigious Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Jackson completed a medical internship in Milwaukee. He then received his training in advanced eye surgery and medical management of the eye at the world renowned Texas Medical Center at Houston.
Dr. Jackson trained with experts in the fields of refractive surgery, glaucoma, diabetes, neuro-ophthalmology, pediatrics, trauma and primary care of the eye.
Dr. Jackson returned home to Las Vegas in 2010 to practice Ophthalmology. Dr. Jackson is married and has five wonderful children. Dr. Jackson loves to teach and help his patients understand their eye conditions fully.
Dr. Jackson founded Prestige Laser and Cataract Institute based on the principles of excellence, compassion and outreach. PLCI has invested in the latest technologies in surgical and diagnostic equipment to help provide world-class eye care. Each member of the staff treat the patients like family and will assist patients in every step of their visit. Dr. Jackson believes in giving back to the community and has dedicated a portion of every dollar earned to helping the less fortunate.
