With fewer C-sections and higher VBAC success rates, Oula's research-backed approach sets a new standard, delivering better outcomes for parents and their babies.
Her path to Oula and midwifery began with her own homebirth in Vermont, where her midwife showed her that birth is an inherently sacred part of the human experience. She saw how important it is to center the pregnant person in the birth experience and make them feel heard and empowered. Trixie is particularly passionate about providing access to midwifery care to the BIPOC community.
Trixie has over seven years of experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Mount Sinai West and most recently as a full-scope midwife in Paterson, NJ. She earned her Master’s in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Russell Sage College, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Albany.
