I am thinking of a client who is struggling with persistent anxiety, depression, or the emotional fallout from trauma or strained relationships. They feel stuck, overwhelmed by their thoughts and emotions, and are seeking more than just symptom management. Their core goal is to achieve clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of agency in their life. They want to understand the "why" behind their patterns, heal underlying wounds, and build healthier ways of being—both for themselves and in their connections with others.
I offer an integrative and depth-oriented approach. I combine expert medication management (when appropriate) with evidence-based psychotherapy (such as psychodynamic, ACT, or trauma-informed modalities). My specialty is creating a safe, collaborative space where we don't just treat symptoms, but explore the roots of your distress.
Empathy in psychiatry is a deliberate, respectful offering of your presence and understanding, without collapsing the space between you and the patient. This experience felt different than my other providers. I’ve tried may services since an adolescent. I feel like my care with Valentina is structured yet personal to me. In the past providers can really make it seem like you have to be quick with it and go. I felt Valentina’s care, in how she really asked and was interested in what I had to say. The plan we created and goals we set, I felt like for the first time, were truly something I could work toward with the tools she gave me. We were able to make changes and adjust and it all felt very personal. She is truly a caring medical professional and I feel I am in great hands with her.

I honestly have never had a more uncomfortable session in the mental health field. Bedside manner was awful and she was a bit difficult to understand at times. No warmth and felt like I was being judged and tested. She also refused to give me a 90 day refill of a prescription I had for years. She said I had to see her again to get another 30 days. Mind you I am self pay! I also had to fill out all these forms with Headway when I booked her through zocdoc and when I filled them out she didnt seem to have read them as she asked me the same questions on the call. DO NOT Recommend!

Valentina is an excellent provider who really listened to my concerns, offered several treatment options, and clearly explained the pros and cons of each. She involved me fully in choosing the right medication plan for my needs. Valentina is also very personable and easy to talk to!
