This was my first time at the gynecologist and it was a breeze! Dr. Tanamai was very patient, friendly, and informative with me. As someone who gets really anxious, I felt very comfortable the whole time. I would definitely recommend this doctor! The staff were also helpful and friendly!

Obstetrics and Gynecology is an amazing field of medicine which allows doctor and patient to grow through many stages of life, from an adolescent going through puberty to the young adult building a family and to older adults reaching menopause. Over the years, Dr. Tanamai has enjoyed working with women as they journey through these different stages in their lives. Her aim is to build relationships with her patients and accompany them step by step in understanding their body as they move through these stages and to keep them healthy!
Dr. Tanamai graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a degree in both Biological Sciences – Genetics and Biomedical Engineering. Following graduation, she continued her research in developing optical imaging technologies in breast cancer at the Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California at Irvine campus. Dr. Tanamai’s work with breast cancer patients helped her realize that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine, so she moved across the country to Buffalo, New York where she completed her Medical degree at State University of New York at Buffalo. This was my well woman yearly exam. I had called to schedule the appt with my regular gyn, Linda Chung, only to find out she had moved to another practice. the person I spoke to on the phone was very nice and told me that Dr. Tanamai had openings in the timeframe I needed so I scheduled an appt. The doctor was extremely nice (I had to wait a bit past my appt time because she was "on call" and an OB urgent patient needed to be seen HOWEVER she apologized sincerely once she got to me).

I started to see Dr. Tanamai at my 6 months of pregnancy since I was not able to get my routine check up appt with Dr.Lopez due to her vacation time and full schedule. However I would have not had it any other way Dr. T was amazing and made me feel so at eased through out the entire end of my pregnancy including surgery day for my scheduled c-section which she was there and assisted with. I am forever grateful for all her time and care she took with me.

This is the 2nd new ob/gyn I have been nto in less than 2 years due to my regular md group going to St. Jospeph as well as the new ob/gyn as well. I read abbout Dr. Tanamai online & chose a location that I was familiar & is part of Memorial Care itself....I don't want to go thru finging a new ob/gyn a 3rd time. I rarely change doctors. Dr. Tanamai is definately a doctor I want to stay with!! She has a great attitude, is caring & a good listener. We spoke at length about the New problem I am having with EXPRESS SCRIPTS in getting my regular hormone replacement script that I have been taking for over 20 years! I explained why I want to take the same medication: benefits versus bad side effects. She is helping me with the "problem" with Express Scripts who I believe is doing this for their own benefit & not that of the patient: it's about cost. Thank you Dr. Tanamai for caring about the patient, me. I hope her letter helps with the now "prior authorization" which has been a big ordeal to try to resolve on my own :( :( I appreciate Dr. Tanamai's quality of care and attentiveness. I look forward to seeing her on my next visit. I like that she is also very knowegeable and professional while being easy to speak to. Thank you Dr. Tanamai!! Thank your office staff for me....they are great!

I felt very comfortable and welcomed. This was my first visit after looking for a new GYN that accepts my health insurance. I was surprised they had my records and asked questions and even gave me information of newest medical advice regarding check ups.

Dr. Tanamai was great. She was approachable, really listened to and answered my questions, and the wait time was very short (<5 min). Her staff was warm and friendly, as well.
