The wait time can be long, especially during lunch hours on a Friday, but Dr. Mhamunkar herself is excellent. Though experienced, she was personable and made me feel confident during my first pregnancy even with so many questions. I really believe the vitamins and things she prescribed me led me to have a healthy baby with no issues (i.e. jaundice, etc.)
I moved to Texas and had a horrible birth and OB experience so I am now wondering if I had birthed with her if it would have been a different experience.

Dr. Vidya Mhamunkar has completed medical school and OBGYN training in India, where she honed her clinical and surgical skills. She also received training in infertility treatment. After coming to the United States, she completed her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she received in depth training and experience in high risk OB patient management and gynecologic surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures and infertility.

Finally found a doctor who will take the time, thoroughly examines patients and makes sure we can rule out all possibilities to get a better understanding of the problem. Thank you, Dr. Mhamunkar. Doctor was extremely busy and I got to talk to her for lesser than 5 minutes . She ordered blood tests and said would prescribe medicine over mail . First appointment wasn’t promising at all , going to her once more before deciding further .

If you want someone that really cares and is knowledgeable in her field, I would recommend Dr. Mhamunkar.
She explains your options and makes sure you understand what she's going to do before doing anything.
She listened to me calmly and answered all my questions. I felt comfortable with her. She is wonderful!

The wait time is the only negative. It could have been because it took a while to verify our insurance info, but everything else was great. Dr. Mhumankar is a very good listener and thorough in her approach. She was very understanding of our specific situation and did her best given the circumstances.
Her front desk staff was also very nice. Both Helen and the other lady (didn't catch her name) were very friendly.

Dr Mhamunkar was very thorough and took the time to note down my history. She then summarized what she had understood and proceeded to examine me. She took into account my history and also ordered the appropriate tests. She has a good bedside manner and tries to make you comfortable during the exam.

Dr. Mhamunkar was really wonderful. It was so easy and quick to book an appointment with her. She was very thorough and she helped us understand our options. We are new to the US and don't understand the insurance system here at all and Dr. Mhamunkar really took the time to help us understand the system.

1. NO patient confidentiality. The nurse asks you what is wrong openly and loudly such that everyone can hear.
2. Doctor was exceptionally pushy. Wanted to operate without any medication or formal consideration. Wanted to conduct a pap smear despite being told one was conducted earlier this week.
3. Kept insisting that the spouse be present to review the case... how immature is that? I am capable of hearing and understanding my own body's issues. I don't need adult supervision. Despite telling her that, she insisted atleast 6 times I call my spouse in.
4. Total waste of time - left me with a feeling of a highly commerical, transactional doctor who wanted to make sure her practice would financially benefit from my visit.
5. We have an excellent health plan and lots of choices - and this doctor defined the rock bottom of what we should expect - would NEVER NEVER hope anyone goes to her.
