The staff was very attentive and professional. Dr. Bakcheva gave me very clear information about my problems and the steps that we are going to take in treatment. I am going to have a visit again soon. I would recommend to visit Dr. Bakcheva. The waiting time was less than 30 min, that is very normal nowadays.

Dr. Viktoriya Bakcheva originally received her medical degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Moscow Medical Institute. She went on earning Doctor of Osteopathy from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004. Dr. Bakcheva has traveled extensively throughout the world to deepen her knowledge in the best practices and holistic methods of healing. Among her modalities is homeopathy which she has used in her practice for more than 20 years. Unlike many practicing gynecologists Dr. Bakcheva offers a unique model of healthcare integrating the best of traditional modern therapy and alternative methods. She recently became one of the Board Directors of the American Hirudotherapy Association and added Hirudotherapy to the arsenal of her treatment methods. She is also a member of St. Petersburg and Moscow Alliance of Hirudotherapy.
Dr. Bakcheva’s special interests include preconception optimization of fertility, ovarian rejuvenation, and assisted medical hirudotherapy.
Dr. Bakcheva is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and has been active in furthering her knowledge in the best evidence based practices in gynecology and holistic medicine.

The doctor was extremely rude to me. She rolled her eyes at me multiple times throughout the visit. The worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. Her lack if profrssionalism and poor bedside manner made me feel extremely uncomforatble. She did not even introduce herself when she walked in. I also had to wait about 4 hours to be seen. During the wait, the assistant tried to get me to go across the street to get allergy shots which seemed very unprofessional for an OB-GYN.

Does not have a pleasant personality. Dr arrives late to her appointments. I've had two so far. She doesn't really explain procedures that well and gets annoyed when questioned.

she has no professionalism. she passes judgement instead of being a professional, I was waiting there for 4 hours with an appointment. Only to be faced with a rude and judgmental doctor. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. I'm emotionally scarred from her words. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!!

Worst md appointment I have ever had. The doctor was rude and didn't listen to anything I said. She pushed medication I didn't want, and lectured me about not wanting children.

For people considering this physician, I would not trust the doctor with my child or for a routine checkup. She was rough during checkups and due to my small frame and large breast, she asked me if they were real. I find this to be extremely inappropriate during a breast exam (you would also think she would know the difference). Anyway, most importantly I was pregnant and I had a high-risk pregnancy. She seemed cold about the fact that I could lose my child her words were "if you're going to lose it then its going to happen". The prenatal pills she prescribed me mad me sick I informed her of this issue and she did not recommend any other brand. Additionally, when I called to inform the doctor that my health insurance will not cover the prescribed prenatal pills and asked what OTC pill I should buy the receptionist is the one who gave me medical advice which was "pick the regular one" which some have DHA and other stuff that I knew nothing about. This too was extremely inappropriate. I switch to another provider and I was prescribed a new prenatal pill that my health insurance covered and that did not make me sick. Please save yourself the trouble and one last thing, the wait is extremely long over 2 hours you will be at this office. sometimes I spend over four hours completing my visit. Good Luck.

Dr. Bakcheva's bedside manner was the worst I have EVER experienced. I left her office 4 hours after my appointment, sobbing, feeling emotionally abused & hopeless.
I came for a pregnancy test after 2 positive home tests. I waited in lobby for almost an hour when the receptionist offered me a complimentary allergy test in the office--aka apartment--upstairs. We literally had to walk outside and into another apt bldg. Weird, but fine.
At 2 hrs I saw the nurse, who was very sweet. At 3 hours I saw an ultrasound tech who was very helpful and funny. She said she didn't see a baby, but suggested I see Dr. anyway.
Then I sat naked and alone, in stirrups for almost an hour. I started to cry and asked the nurse if my husband could keep me company (which they previously said was fine) since it had been so bizarre and stressful almost 4 hours. Dr started scolding me from down the hall, saying if I didn't like it I should go to Planned Parenthood and no, my husband can't come in because it's too cramped.
She told me to calm down as she angrily skimmed my chart. I told her I had a successful LEEP procedure, and she said that was very bad and suggested my old Dr. maybe just did it to make money off of me! (This coming from a woman who performs LEECH THERAPY. Yes, Dr. Bakcheva believes in leech therapy)
It was difficult to understand her heavy accent as angrily stuttered and shrugged, acting like conception was hopeless and telling me at 29 yrs old I may not ever get pregnant.
Do yourself a favor, stay far away.

Wait time was a little over 2 hours. Aside from that, the medical assistant was lovely. The office to get checked out in is small, but clean and nice. The doctor is typical Russian (not a bad thing!) Well dressed, lots of jewelry, and a thick accent. She was very thorough, pleasant, and answered the questions I had. She seemed to genuinely care, and pinpoint every problem, even if it was not what I came in for.

Everyone is nice and all but I had to wait over 2 hours to be seen by this doctor after I had scheduled an appointment for 5:45. In fact I'm still waiting to see the doctor and it is 8:46pm. I don't recommend this doctor at all there is no reason why the wait was so long for a scheduled appointment.

The staff there self were super nice! The ultrasound Tec is really sweet and so funny.. I waited so long.. I think if they were to up their game a little bit more faster. Also if the doctor didn't take so long to see your patients. It would get better ratings from me.. The doctor herself isn't very knowledgeable to me..

Excellent doctor! Very professional and knowledgeable. I am happy with my pregnancy and delivery. The doctor and the whole staff is very attentive and carying. Based on my previous experience with other OBGYN I can deffinetly say that she is the best.She know what she's doing. I highly recommend her.

I am under the care of Dr. Bakcheva since 2001. As a GYN patient I am extremely satisfied with her knowledge ans professional way she treats me everytime I visit her her office. The warm environment and highly professional staff makes me feel safe and in the good caring hands. Dr. Bakcheva's approach to female health issues, including homeopathy and hirudotherapy, brings the gynecology to totaly different level of medical treatment with high efficiency.

I have been Dr. Bakcheva's patient for 4 years now. She's an excellent doctor who is also extremely knowledgable in her field. The staff are always great, and Dr. Bakcheva is very caring, she explains everything thoroughly. She's also an excellent homeopath and I've been extremely happy with her treatments.
