Great to meet you!
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am prepared to provide holistic care to individuals while prioritizing their mental health needs, given that it greatly affects the overall health of an individual. I have supported individuals of all age groups in various settings for different conditions and in different roles for over 15 years.
A bit about my approach
I am respectful and welcoming to everyone, regardless of age, sex, gender orientation or needs. I value the things that make us unique and different as individuals. As such, I understand that individuals will have different treatment goals to get to a place they call “wellness” for themselves. Sometimes, it is hard to figure it out by yourself; that’s where I come in to help you find your strength and empower you to reclaim your health through conversations, coping strategies, skills learning, and pharmacotherapy.
What to expect from our first Session
I often start with an introductory session in which we both introduce ourselves, and you share your story and goal(s) to achieve in therapy. If unsure, we will figure it out together. I offer evening sessions and weekend sessions, with options for in-person and/or virtual attendance to increase access for you. And our meeting environment should make you feel comfortable and safe. Subsequent appointments, if any, will be jointly decided based on the acuity or nature of your needs and “size” of your goal(s) to make them realistic and attainable.
