Dr. Patel earned his MD from Gujarat University, India, and completed his medical education with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad. He further advanced his training through fellowships in spine surgery at Twin Cities Spine Center, orthopaedic surgery at Gillette Children's, and orthopaedic surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans. His research interests include sacral trauma, adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, postoperative spinal wound infection, and related complications. His clinical interests focus on adult spinal deformity and minimally invasive spine surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading.
