Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate education with honors, at the University of Florida. Dr. Patel earned his medical degree at Meharry Medical College, and completed his residency in General Surgery at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. Dr. Patel was selected from among his colleagues as Resident of the Year, for his remarkable care and compassion toward patients.
Following residency training, Dr. Patel pursued a Hand Surgery fellowship at the University of Connecticut. There, under the direction of Dr. Kirk Watson, founder and former president of the New England Hand Society, Dr. Patel gained immense experience in hand and microsurgery. During his fellowship, Dr. Patel presented his research at several local and national meetings, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the New England Hand Society. Furthermore, Dr. Patel has been acknowledged in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and he has committed himself to many professional organizations.
Dr. Patel spends time educating his patients about their medical condition. In Dr. Patel's own words, "Listening to each patient's concerns and helping them return faster to a pain free and normal, productive lifestyle is what I strive to achieve everyday."
In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family. His current hobbies include playing basketball and racquetball, cooking, and traveling.

Had some minor miscommunication with my paperwork, but the receptionists figured it out quickly and things went smoothly. Service was good, the young ladies were friendly and all smiles. Dr. Patel has seen me twice now. Got the cortisone shot and walked out to my vehicle and the pain subsided within 5 min. It's sore now, but last time it took about three days to feel no pain. I hope I don't have to do this often. I'm not afraid of the needles. I'm afraid of this medicine having long term affects as I've read online. But the service is very good at this place. The staff is friendly and sweet and the Dr. is cool! If you have joint issues, I recommend this place.

I didn't appreciate how Dr. Patel office handled me with the payments for the office visits. They weren't professional when it came to communicating when the payments were due. They didn't inform me that you have to pay when you arrive and they discussed payments in front at the desk without any privacy because everyone in the waiting room can hear you. They came up with bogus payments that I needed to pay even after I had paid them every time I went to them. The treatment process didn't help. I think this doctor is only out to get your money and that he doesn't really care about the patients. I WOULD NEVER recommend this doctor and I will NEVER go back to him ever again.

My office visit was great at Dr. Patel's office! It started off with a very friendly Tracy at the front desk. I didn't have to wait long at all before she took me back for x-rays, then Dr. Patel came to talk to me and assess my condition. He was attentive and seemed to really care about solving the problems with my hands. He didn't rush me out of the room.
