I have over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, helping them create the most fulfilling life possible for themselves. I specialize in working with clients with anxiety, depression, relationship problems, loss and grief (particularly suicide loss), and OCD.
I aim to tailor therapy to you or your child, since every client has different issues and styles. I practice in a collaborative way with my clients. I view you as the expert on you and your life but I can offer expertise and skills that you do not have. I see you and me as a team. Together, we test new ways of doing things, looking at issues, and experiencing the world. With children, I work closely with parents and other family members.
I also do testing for learning disabilities, ADHD, and other diagnoses. No two clients are alike so I tailor testing to you or your child. Evaluations contain everything needed to apply for accommodations in schools, colleges, and on standardized tests. Although the prospect of testing is sometimes intimidating, my goal is to minimize the stress and anxiety associated with psychological evaluations. I work especially well with clients who are anxious, easily frustrated, or overwhelmed, because I can take time to explain each step, tailor test sessions to address specific needs, and fully assess how to get the best results from an individual.
