Felt like how all doctor appointments should go, but so often don't. In seeking care I often explicitly avoid MD/DO providers in favor of Nurse Practitioners as the prior two often disregard the patients experience of symptoms, provide an Occam's razor diagnosis, and react to patients requesting education on said diagnosis with disdain.
Doctor Phipps is a luminous reversal and a rare exception to my MD/DO expectations that have littered my past 2 decades of healthcare. The appointment wasn't perfect; no appointment can be, but she listened not only to my symptoms but to aspects of my identity I value which those symptoms effect, and she did so compassionately yet riggerously taking every word in to account.
I hope to see her until my present predicaments are placated, and perhaps beyond should I be able to continue to afford her care, but even if I am unable afford her services in perpetuity, I sincerely believe her quality of care is justly worth the charge.

I have only seen Dr. Phipps twice. However, I had a wonderful experience both times and will be going back for my follow up care. The office is very well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. Friendly staff, and physician. I I highly recommend Dr. Phipps’ practice!

Hi! I am Dr. Phipps! I am an Internal Medicine-trained and Board-certified physician. I have been shaping the face of medicine for the past 18 1/2years. I am transitioning from conventional, hospital-based medicine to a new platform - Outpatient and Functional Medicine. I have had the honor of working with tens of thousands of patients across the United States over these 18 years. I have learned a lot, grown a lot, and helped a lot Now I aim to help you.
Historically, I have been treating patients at the opposite spectrum of health - disease and poor health. Now, our goal at Phipps Health and Wellness is toward preventative care. We aim to prevent or delay the onset of disease and enhance quality of life.
We will continue to provide care for chronic medical illnesses, as well as acute medical illness with a more holistic approach. We will provide a safe haven, providing medical care that promotes health and prevents, or controls, disease. Practicing “root cause medicine, also known as Functional Medicine, is my passion! It parallels my training as an osteopathic physician. Our mission - to enhance your quality of life and help you feel better! We will help you breathe!

I’ve been looking for a PCP forever! Trying to locate a Dr. that I vibe with is difficult. I tend to prefer to treat the root cause of an issue, preferably naturally, over taking a prescription medication if and when possible. Although I don’t have any current health conditions, just the simple fact that Dr. Phipps didn’t look at me sideways or like I had 10 heads when I gave her my daily natural supplement list (which had also been recommended/prescribed by other Drs. In the past) spoke volumes to me. She’s a great communicator, she is kind, and she listens. No god complex in this Dr.! I’ve only seen her twice but am very excited I found her and look forward to her helping me with any issues I may have in the future. Also her front desk assistant Cornelia is a real doll and all in all the office is very responsive. Outstanding experience. Highly recommend.

Such a great visit. I have been searching for a doctor to help with my chronic constipation, and after going through multiple gastrologist, it was amazing to find a doctor who looked at your internal system as a whole. Her functional approach to healing is everything I needed; I went for one visit and am now following up with multiple other tests, blood work, and appointments with the Dr. to help find the root cause of my condition.
