Dr. Visharad Patel, DO, MS, RPVI is a fellowship trained Vascular Surgeon. He is well trained in dialysis access work, full spectrum of carotid disease, abdominal aneurysms, mesenteric disease, venous disease and well versed in peripheral artery disease both endovascular and open surgery. He takes a special interested in his patients, utilizing new technologies for minimally invasive treatments. His fellowship was a hub site for the innovative CREST-II study, where he received incomparable training in Carotid Stenting. He is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons and is certified as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.
Growing up in Cullman, AL, Dr. Patel was very close to his roots in the South. His passion for surgery comes from being personally invested in his patients and his community. He is very family-oriented and loves to play golf and travel in his spare time.
