I have worked with Volker for two years and in those two years he has never failed to be a profound source of support in every aspect of my life. I have had experiences with many other therapists, but no one compares to the level of care, insight, and genuine kindness that Volker provides. He has been so well trained to deal with any subjects and is especially knowledgeable about LGBT issues. He has guided me through so many challenging times and has never failed to help me find answers within myself. I truly cannot express the value of my work with Volker or the respect and appreciation I have for him as both a physician & friend.

He's spectacular! Beyond knowledgeable and professional, he has great insight and zero judgement. He is very compassionate and engaging pushing for deeper reflection when necessary, while still maintaining a good sense of humor when appropriate. He's helped me literally turn my life around and I couldn't be more thankful to be his patient!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and bring over 20 years of experience and several advanced degrees in clinical psychology from Europe and the US to my practice of psychotherapy. Having worked with people from all over the world and all walks of life I truly embrace diversity and inclusion. My unique approach blends a variety of orientations and techniques based on cutting edge research that leads to change.
I offer individual and couples therapy in English and German. Typical recurring issues in my practice are

Volker has a warm, inviting and grounding presence in session. His steadiness helped me to feel safe to begin exploring issues I had been too afraid to look at in the past. Volker's style of working made me feel "seen" in a new way, and deepened my experience in therapy.
