Wai Ying Lam (aka Shannon Lam) is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Pennsylvania where she gained hands-on clinical experience in the care of adults of all ages as well as infants, children, and adolescent youth.
Wai Ying’s prior education and experience make her a great fit for Son Light Medical. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Hong Kong.
She has worked in Student Health Services as a registered Public Health Nurse where she oversaw the operation of a clinic and provided care for over 3,200 school-aged children and their parents annually. Wai Ying also worked in a fast-paced Maternal and Child Health Center where she was responsible for providing care for individuals from newborns to preschool aged children, as well as their mothers. She has been a welcomed addition to Son Light Medical since 2021.
