He is a member of the Tampa OB/GYN Society, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Florida Medical Association, Hillsborough County Medical Society, and Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society. Currently, Dr. Wilkerson is the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Community Hospital and has served as the Medical Director of Insignia Clinical Research since 2002.
Dr. Wilkerson earned his medical degree from the University of Miami in 1980. He completed his residency at the University of South Florida Affiliated Hospitals in 1984.
Dr. Wilkerson is married with three children.

A very professional office - was so impressed with the staff and of course Dr. Wilkerson - what a relaxing manner. Loved the fact that we spoke before the exam (with my clothes still on!). He explained everything each step of the way - reminded me of my favorite OBGYN (retired) from years ago. I will definitely return.

This was my first visit to Dr. Wilkerson. I was able to make an appointment very quickly and easily through ZocDoc, which is part of why I decided to visit this office over another in the area.
Dr. Wilkerson was very friendly and knowledgable and made me feel very at ease in his office. Too often, gynecology visits can be awkward and uncomfortable, but I felt totally at ease here. Dr. Wilkerson answered all the questions and concerns I had and I will definitely be coming back.
