Warren D Cross, M.D. is a founder of Warren Cross and Associates and The Laser Vision Center, West Loop in the Galleria Area. Dr. Cross conceived, designed, built and managed the Institute of Eye Surgery in Houston. This was the first outpatient eye surgical center designed and built from the ground up in Texas after the 1981 law changed. He was Chief of Ophthalmology at Twelve Oaks Hospital and Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
Dr. Cross was a Co- Investigator for Summit Technology and was involved in the FDA study of the excimer laser for the surgical correction of myopia and hyperopia and of the holmium laser for glaucoma treatment. Dr. Cross started and served on the Board of Directors of the Laser Eye Institute of Houston and River Oaks Surgical Center. Dr. Cross has been very actively involved in research for better eye care and treatment. He is an investigator for several drug and lens studies.
Dr. Cross has completed 4 FDA studies evaluating the efficiency of Restasis (cyclosporine ophthalmic solution) for dry eyes treatment. Warren Cross & Associates has been selected as DRY EYE, VERISYSE, and EPILASIK Center of Excellence.
