Wayne Hemphill, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from Southern California University of Health Sciences, formerly known as the Southern California College of Optometry. He earned his undergraduate degree from Montana State. Specializing in orthokeratology vision therapy, Dr. Hemphill says he became interested in optometry after having a severe eye injury while playing hockey. He enjoys his long-term patient relationships, learning people's needs, and helping them live better. Dr. Hemphill is a member of the American Optometric Association, Eye Care Council, and College of Optometrists in Vision Development. He is also a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, serving as President for 2016-17. He has lectured throughout the area on vision, learning, and pediatric optometry. Dr. Hemphill is active in his church and enjoys the outdoors, including golf and archery. He is married to Dr. Mary Hemphill, and they have three grown children.
