Dr. Bowman is the absolute best Dr. I have ever had, she listens and has a calm soul. She is a great doctor, super professional and knowledgeable, while understanding.
Accessible and easy to talk to. My daughter loves her, and I have never known a 16 year old who loves the gynecologist.

Dr. Bowman grew up in Salisbury on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond. She received a Masters degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her residency training at Wake Forest University in both Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Bowman is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians. Dr. Bowman is interested in all aspects of women’s health including infertility and family planning, high risk pregnancies, menopausal management, and is certified in da Vinci Robotics® surgery.
She has been in private practice in Richmond for nearly a decade. Dr. Bowman is married and has three children. In her time outside of work, she enjoys going to Nats baseball games, barre Pilates, bargain hunting for designer duds, and spending time with her three young children.

Dr. Bowman verbalized racist micro-aggressions both times I went in to see here. I was put off the first time, but liked her other qualities and decided to give it a shot. She is a nice lady but I’d rather spend my time and money elsewhere.

Appointment was at 2:30 and I arrived early to find parking and finished filling out new patient paper work at 2:25. Was finally called in at 3:05 by the nurse. Nurse asked a few questions for 5 minutes and I was told to wait in gown for the doctor. It wasn't until 50 minutes later (we are at 4pm now for a 2:30 appointment) that the doctor came into my room. I thought I was forgotten and had to literally peak my head out and call someone down to make sure that they knew I was in the room waiting (which they did). Upon doctors arrival there was no excuse for the fact she was seeing me over an hour after my appointment time. I also had told the doctor that I wished to start a family soon and her response was was what birhcontrol methods (meaning pills or IUDs) I should think about using, which made no sense. All in all it was a waste of time I felt uncfomrtable from start to finish and the doctor clearly does not listen to her patients or value their time as I felt like just a "number".

The doctor was VERY nice and personable, but I needed to come in twice just to be seen. The first time they lost track of my file and didn't call me for well over an hour before I walked up and asked about the wait. I had to reschedule because at that point it I would have been late getting back to work. The second time I again had to wait for a while, but I definitely factored in several hours just in case.
As for the care, I didn't get the sense that the team was particularly invested. When I followed up with the office about a significant symptom/diagnosis update, I never heard back.

From start to finish it was a great experience. The receptionist, the nurse and Doctor were all professional and pleasant. Open to questions and gave helpful responses. Definitely my new primary obgyn!

Great bedside manner but long wait time (they did apologize but it was about 1.5 hours). Dr. Bowman is very caring and gentle. I really liked that there is a (very friendly) phlebotomist in the office to take blood for tests, no need to go to a separate lab.

I'm 48 years young and I've seen a lot of OB/GYNs in my life. By far, Dr. Bowman was the best. She's personable, gentle and above all, she actually listens to you. Highly recommended!

Today was my first visit with Dr. Bowman. What a breath of fresh air...a doctor who will actually look at you while you are talking and not be looking at a computer screen the whole time. She genuinely listened to me and understood what I was saying. She never made feel like there was a rush to get my appointment over with at all. I gave the wait time a four star only because she had to leave for about 30 minutes to go deliver a baby. How wonderful is that :-D?!

Doctor was intimately familiar with me, my chart, and my past experiences/pregnancy. She is a very calming influence during what can be a stressful and constantly changing time in life. Her staff always greets me by name, is pleasant and always willing to help. LOVE this office!

This was my first visit with Dr. Bowman and I can truely say that I have not felt more important as a patient than I do right now. I am pregnant for the first time and Dr. Bowman gave me a very detailed what to do/what not to do while pregnant checklist. I could not feel more safe and confident to be in her care. My husband & myself look forward to bringing our first child into the world with Dr. Bowman at our side.

My visits to the office were always prompt. I was called in to be seen right away. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Dr. Wendy Bowman is excellent. She was always available to answer any questions/concerns I had in my visits and office site. It has been a great experience with the office, especially since this was my first child. Many thanks to them on delivering a healthy baby boy!
