Dr. Wenrong Xu graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of North Texas with a Master of Science. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she received her Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. Xu is licensed as a therapeutically trained glaucoma specialist. She completed specialized training in the treatment and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, LASIK, and preoperative and postoperative care for cataract surgery. Also she received specialized training in pediatrics, contact lens, and low vision. As a primary eye care physician, her interests include adult and pediatric routine vision exams, contact lens fitting including Ortho-K (CRT), medical eye care (red eyes, dry eyes, minor eye injuries, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma etc), and co-management of LASIK and cataract surgery.
Dr. Xu enjoys traveling, movies, and biking at leisure with her family. She is happily married to Chen. Their daughter Alice is currently a 6th grader at Greenhill School.

I like her, I really feel listened to. But this time around I felt more lost than I did before getting my test results. She honestly left me feeling confused and not sure where to go. I am going to get a 2nd opinion hoping I can figure out a better plan for myself.

I was so nervous going in due to my chronic back pain. Dr. Wong listened to everything I said, really took it all into consideration in deciding what the next step of action was. We worked on a plan together and I am confident I am headed in the right direction to becoming somewhat pain free. Looking forward to my next visit.
