A native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Harris moved to Bristol and joined Bristol Gynecology and Obstetrics, P.C. in 1987. He is a 1980 graduate of Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and completed his residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He completed a fellowship in pelvic surgery in Baltimore, MD.Dr. Harris has published several papers over the past 15 years on the subjects of Gynecologic Cancer and Gynecologic Surgery. He enjoys obstetrics and is willing to work with patients who desire natural childbirth or epidurals.Dr. Harris is a board certified in Obstetrics and Genecology, is a member of the Tennessee Medical Association, the Sullivan County Medical Society, and the Tri-City obstetrics and Gynecology Society.Dr. Harris is a member of the society of Gynecological Surgeons, a national organization promoting advances in gynecological surgery.He and his wife Kelley, also a physician, have a daughter, and a son. Dr. Harris enjoys golfing in his leisure time.
