William G. Anderson, II, D.O., FACOOG is a board certified physician with nearly 30 years of experience. Dr. Anderson specializes in gynecology and gynecologic surgery and was the first physician in Michigan to perform the Essure® method, a non-incision form of permanent sterilization.
Dr. Anderson graduated from Morehouse College with a Bachelors of Science degree in biology and chemistry. He obtained his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and later served as president of its alumni association. He is a clinical faculty member of Michigan State University and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Certified by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Anderson has chaired their annual convention as well as served on their board of directors. Dr. Anderson has continued his training and is experienced in many minimally invasive procedures including operative laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and laparoscopic assisted hysterectomy.
Dr. Anderson is the Osteopathic director of medical education and program director of internship at St. Mary Mercy Hospital Livonia.
